  1. there would be an obvious reference to [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name], which anyone using [name]Hermione[/name] would have to contend with, but combined with [name]Fleur[/name] you’d be making things harder

  2. honoring [name]Remy[/name] is a wonderful idea. It seems like [name]Fleur[/name] would have a deeper significance than [name]Hermione[/name] which (please correct me if I’m wrong) you’ve selected simply because you like the sound of it.

Why not, then, [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]? It’s a bit more clipped than [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Hermione[/name], but still flows well. It’s sweet, and more in keeping with your other daughters’ style.

I love [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] just as it is! I’m a big proponent of two MNs, but I think just [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] is perfect. While @blade’s suggestion seems to work best, [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] just doesn’t have the same spark as [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] for me. I have absolutely no knowledge about [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name], lol, except for that [name]Hermione[/name] is a character in the books, so [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] doesn’t bother me in the least, and I think [name]Fleur[/name] is a great way to honor [name]Remy[/name]'s memory. If you want to honor him (which I think is a very noble and lovely thing to do!), I would go for [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]. It’s lovely.

I think I’d also vote for [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] as opposed to the double middles, based on meaning and [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] reference…

I don’t know [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] so not taking any reference into consideration…

[name]Just[/name] on paper, I’d prefer [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] to [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] [name]Fleur[/name], I’m not much on double middles. Still, because this is your last child and you’re worried about regret if you don’t use it, I think I’d say go for it. It’s a second middle name, tuck it in there on the birth certificate and you can either use it or not use it really, but have it there. The flow is still lovely and I don’t think it’s an issue that your other children have a single middle name.

I should’ve addressed the HP thing in my post. It’s not an issue at all. I am a fan of the series, but I’m not fanatic by any means. I just happen to love two names that are used in the series. Not unlike Twilight! Great names there too!

[name]Fleur[/name] I had liked before the series but of course [name]Hermione[/name] was drawn from [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name]. It was actually [name]Aidan[/name]'s suggestion for [name]Gemma[/name]'s middle name and I fell in love! So while yes, I do love how it sounds, [name]Hermione[/name] is also special since [name]Aidan[/name] picked it.

I think I’d switch out the mn options as opposed to using double middles, so that it doesn’t look out of place with the other children. If it’s a question of liking it for sound or for meaning, do you think you would mourn not using [name]Hermione[/name] in the same way? Based on honoring [name]Remy[/name] and the blatant [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] reference (that you wouldn’t purposely be going for) I’d also vote for changing it to [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Fleur[/name].

Based on honoring [name]Remy[/name] I’d vote for changing it to [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]. Maybe [name]Hermione[/name] could be used for [name]Aiden[/name]'s future pet? =]

I say you just go for both! She’s your last child, and I feel like you’ll always regret not using [name]Fleur[/name], especially since it has such a special meaning to you. I feel like you can’t go wrong with both  Also, I wouldn’t worry about the [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] reference. It IS obvious to a lot of people, but hey, [name]Hermione[/name] is a lovely, brave, and intelligent character in the series and what a great inspiration for your daughter! It’s a positive reference, most definitely. I know that [name]Fleur[/name] is a character as well, but isn’t as well known so it wouldn’t be too obvious to me. [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Hermione[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] is just gorgeous!
