I’m so happy you came to a decision! [name]Eamon[/name] is wonderful!
Would you consider some name containing -ric to honour [name]Richard[/name]? [name]Alaric[/name] comes to mind. [name]Eamon[/name] [name]Alaric[/name] sounds great.
There’s also [name]Alric[/name], [name]Broderick[/name], [name]Cedric[/name], [name]Frederick[/name], [name]Merrick[/name], [name]Roderick[/name], Wolfric.
Some really great suggestions- especially [name]Eamon[/name] [name]Alaric[/name] which I really love. Thank you for that one…
I also like [name]Eamon[/name] [name]Fox[/name]- does it matter that my other kids have much more old-fashioned middle names? [name]Fox[/name] feels much more modern than the middle names we’ve chosen before.
The third standout for me was [name]Eamon[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name]. It just sounds honeyed and lovely to me, but DH finds it a little ‘soft’. [name]Will[/name] keep it on my personal drawing board, anyhow.
Oh, I really like [name]Eamon[/name] [name]Julius[/name]! [name]Eamon[/name] [name]Theodore[/name], [name]Eamon[/name] [name]Clark[/name], and [name]Eamon[/name] [name]Hart[/name] came immediate to my mind as other great combos. Good luck!
I actually think that [name]Eamon[/name] is a way you could honor [name]Richard[/name]. [name]Eamon[/name] meaning “rich protector” and [name]Richard[/name] meaning “ruler” or “brave power”. You might find it a bit of a stretch but I can see “protector” nicely morphing into “brave ruler”.
A more literal options for [name]Richard[/name] could be: [name]Ricardo[/name]. [name]Eamon[/name] [name]Ricardo[/name].
Otherwise you could also go with the -ard theme instead of the -ric theme.
Some options would be: [name]Alard[/name], [name]Bernard[/name], [name]Gerard[/name], [name]Howard[/name], [name]Leonard[/name], [name]Maynard[/name], [name]Willard[/name], and (just for good measure) [name]Wizard[/name].
I like [name]Eamon[/name] [name]Julius[/name], and the meaning behind [name]Richard[/name] even if you do not care for it. I went to high school with an [name]Eamon[/name], he had a brother named [name]Padric[/name], both really great guys. Best of luck with your son.
