[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there - I just wanted to sound out a couple of names that we have for our baby due in around a month. This is the first of me sharing the names with anyone so please try to be gentle
Our first son is called [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. (That’s pronounced ROW as in wow - not ROW as in woe) He has the middle name [name_m]Peter[/name_m] & our surname is [name_m]Raphael[/name_m].
If we have another boy we like these;
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m]
OR
[name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m]. (which may be shortened to Logie) We are Scottish so imagine them said in a soft Scottish accent ;).
(We also had [name_u]Rudy[/name_u] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] on the list but feel it’s probably ‘a bit much’)
I prefer [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] & [name_u]Jude[/name_u] as they seem to fit better and I like that they have different sounds. [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_u]Logan[/name_u] are quite similar in sound.
Thanks for your reply. That’s exactly what we like about that combination. The contrasting sounds. Also [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is a very unusual name here whereas [name_u]Logan[/name_u] is found much more frequently too.
I prefer [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. [name_u]Logan[/name_u] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] sound very similar. Plus, I just love [name_u]Jude[/name_u]! It’s so handsome.
wow I never heard [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] pronounced to rhyme with wow-an. interesting…
I really like [name_u]Logan[/name_u] but agree with others that it’s too similar to [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] for me. I would pick [name_u]Jude[/name_u].
What a difficult decision. I really love both [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_u]Logan[/name_u] as a sibling set. I slightly lean toward [name_u]Logan[/name_u].
I would choose [name_u]Jude[/name_u] because I dislike the matching n endings with [name_u]Logan[/name_u] ecen though [name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] is a lovely name!
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_u]Logan[/name_u] are too matchy in sound for my liking. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] is a winner. It’s strong, romantic and dashing. It’s so awesomely cool that I’m practically swooning.
