Declan Dominic

Is the name [name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name] too d heavy? We are so stuck and love the first name [name]Declan[/name]. However, I want to honor my papa with the [name]Dominic[/name] part. I just can’t bring myself to use it because to my ears it even sounds silly. What’s a girl to do? We’ve already been calling him [name]Declan[/name] so it sort of feels right and looks right. The middle name is throwing it all off though.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I am a fan of alliteration, personally. It seems to make someone stick out more when I meet them, and I’m more likely to remember them. Especially if it’s an alliteration that I like. [name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name] is nice, but maybe it’s just that the middle name has too many syllables or something. [name]Declan[/name] [name]Dean[/name] sounds much more pleasing to me.
Since you want to honor your papa with [name]Dominic[/name], maybe you could find another name with the same meaning? Or use your papa’s middle or last name if either is useable and you like it.

I love the name [name]Declan[/name]. [name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name] isn’t to D heavy. It just depends how it all sounds together with your last name. Keep in mind I feel like people stress too much about the middle name and it is rarely used. If you want to honor a family member go for it.

His middle name is [name]Anthony[/name] and last was [name]Perri[/name]. I can’t really use the [name]Perri[/name] for a boy. With that spelling it seems more usable for a girl. [name]Anthony[/name] is also a slew of other guts middle names. Bah. Maybe I’ll suck it up and just go with [name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name].

[name]Declan[/name] [name]Anthony[/name] doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as [name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name] anyway. (;

I don’t mind some alliteration, but I do find this a tad too much with the DUH sounds. I think it would be fine to use though.

Maybe use another name with NIC/NICK in it like Dominic has? Something like:

Declan Calinico
Declan Nicholas
Declan Nico

I love the alliteration of [name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name], personally.

I think [name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name] sounds great!

[name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name] has a great ring to it. (But it could be that I’m partial to [name]Dominic[/name]). However, if it doesn’t fit the bill, [name]Declan[/name] [name]Anthony[/name] is very handsome as well. Perhaps, you might consider: [name]Declan[/name] [name]Antonio[/name] or [name]Declan[/name] [name]Domenico[/name].

I literally have one hour to decide! What sounds better?
[name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name]
Or
[name]Beckett[/name] [name]Dominic[/name]

Help!!!

I think [name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name] sounds fine. [name]Declan[/name] [name]Anthony[/name] is not bad either, but I love the name [name]Dominic[/name]… Would you consider adding a second middle name to break it up a bit? (Completely just for example: [name]Declan[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Dominic[/name]) Good luck. =]

It’s the double D and the double K sound together. Changing the meter, I like [name]Declan[/name] [name]Domenico[/name]; or [name]Declan[/name] [name]Perry[/name]. The Y is a bit more masculine but still honors your grandfather.

[name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name] is lovely.

[name]Declan[/name] [name]Dominic[/name]- for sure. I think it sounds great, I love the alliteration, and it has meaning for you. I think giving a child a name that has meaning and ties him to the family is super important.
