Hey, does anyone have ideas for a deep dark secret for a character in my book? Her name is [name_f]Viv[/name_f] Cardwell (thanks @katkabet!), and she’s a party planner, in her late twenties.
She owns the company Cardwell Parties and I need some blackmail material on her–I mean, my MC does… Literally anythings goes. [name_m]Even[/name_m] squirrel hit-and-runs.
Thanks!
If she’s a party planner, then she’s probably good at organizing and detail-oriented. So, with that in mind, maybe she’d have the know-how and the focus to embezzle, maybe from a prior workplace.
It could be something that was so long ago she almost forgot, maybe in her teens. I first idea was that she got the senior prom cancelled and everyone was mad that it happened, but no one knows it was her fault. Would be nice if she did it on purpose, just because back then she hated parties…
She is responsible for the death of someone who had done her wrong years ago. She noticed that their car’s breaks weren’t working, but chose not to say anything, hoping that maybe they would total their car. Instead, they were killed in the ensuing accident.
@anon57824181, @Wandarine, and @Paxramena, Thanks for all the ideas! They’re great!
Not sure if you’re still taking ideas but she could’ve had an affair from her boyfriend, or that she was the result of an affair. Like her mom was ‘the other girl’ in an affair with the governor of her state or something? But the father bribed [name_f]Viv[/name_f]’s mom to keep quiet and not include him on the birth certificate.(That’s legal actually) [name_u]Love[/name_u] the name though!
How about her parents were a witch and a wizard and they died during an accident and she doesn’t know she is a witch?
I’m sorry; I never replied back to y’all or anything! Oops!
@minisailor- Thank you so much for the idea! I actually used this for another part of the secret, but it’s complicated. This was one of the times I was actually thankful for Health, because we went over the P.A.P.A lessons (which you might know of, as it’s a [name_u]Texas[/name_u] state requirement)!
@Dragon_Princess- Also, thanks! This doesn’t completely fit the vibe of my story, but I do actually have a “superhero”-type suplot, so that actually ties in a bit!
Thanks to both of you!
