I really don’t think the [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] association is relevant to most people at all. I only make the connection because so many other people are worried about it.

[name_m]Caspar[/name_m] is strong and striking and gorgeous but not in-your-face unusual. It’s coolly and quietly under the radar. I absolutely love it and strongly considered it myself, with the same spelling as you.

I see no problem at all with using it for a darker-skinned child. It’s a Persian name originally and the ghost association is very dated now, so it seems totally multi-cultural in the modern world to me.
