Is this wayyyy too much of a stretch or could we possibly use [name_f]Lula[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]?
We are a big nn people, and although we love love love [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] the nn’s don’t thrill me. I do like [name_f]Della[/name_f] but we also love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nell[/name_f]/[name_f]Nellie[/name_f]/[name_f]Nella[/name_f] so it’s a bit too close.
If you think [name_f]Lula[/name_f] is too much of a stretch, do you have any other suggestions? Again, [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is sweet but it feels very modern/trendy.

I don’t think it’s a stretch! But I think people are likely to think [name_f]Lula[/name_f]'s full name is [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] rather than [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]. Also, personally, I feel like [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is actually less modern/trendy than [name_f]Lula[/name_f]. The only other nickname option I can think of right now for [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] is [name_f]Dee[/name_f]. I see in your signature that you like the name [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. I don’t know how you feel about [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Lula[/name_f] would make sense as a nickname for [name_f]Louise[/name_f], so maybe using that or another [name_u]Lou[/name_u]-/[name_f]Lu[/name_f]- name in the middle spot would make the nickname feel more legitimate. Still, I think it would be perfectly fine to use [name_f]Lula[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], so you should go for that if it’s what you want.
Thanks for the reply! It’s interesting that you don’t think [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is too trendy- I do actually really like it but that was what put me off. Maybe I’ll consider it again!
[name_f]Lula[/name_f] is adorable and a great, fitting nickname for [name_f]Delilah[/name_f].

My first thoughts on [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]'s nn are [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], [name_f]Della[/name_f] or even [name_m]Deli[/name_m]. I definitely think you could use [name_f]Lula[/name_f] if that what you loved. Very cute
