what is your opinion of either and which do you like best?
Both names sound pretty, but the meaning of both throw me off. [name_u]Dakota[/name_u] is a Native American word that technically, in its original tongue, makes no sense used as a name. [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] as a name makes more sense to me, though its biblical relation of being [name_m]Samson[/name_m]'s mistress/temptress isn’t ideal.
I absolutely adore [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], so Iam voting for that. It such a pretty name, that is popular but not overused imo. I used to like the name [name_u]Dakota[/name_u], but now i cant see tha appeal.
Well, [name_u]Dakota[/name_u] is my husband’s name…so it is a bit weird for me to see it on a girl, although it is one of the few names that I will classify as decidedly unisex. Warning: teasing potential. Seriously, everyone asks my husband “are you north or south?” (in reference to [name_u]North[/name_u] and South [name_u]Dakota[/name_u], here in the states…not sure where you are from). He HATES it and people think they are so hilarious when they say it…it’s annoying.
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]: it’s very pretty! Yeah, there is the biblical connotation, but I don’t think that is a deal-breaker…[name_m]David[/name_m] is a popular name, yet [name_m]David[/name_m] in the bible did some awful things…so yeah, it isn’t the end of the world. I mildly prefer [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] to [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], but both are pretty.
Out of the two, I prefer [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] 
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]. I have always found [name_u]Dakota[/name_u] to be tacky as a name.
I prefer [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]. You might also like [name_f]Delia[/name_f] or [name_f]Della[/name_f] since you don’t love the history of [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]?
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] is one of those names that feels too fussy for me. I can’t quite put my finger on it. However, [name_u]Dakota[/name_u] makes me weary. I’m not sure if I should feel weird about it, but I wouldn’t use a Native American name - I feel the same about [name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u].
Definitely [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]! [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] is so pretty, and I have no opinion positive or negative about [name_u]Dakota[/name_u].
I like [name_u]Dakota[/name_u]! [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] sounds like [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] with the a weird duh added to it like [name_m]Dewayne[/name_m].
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]: Its very pretty. However I am not a fan of a names- but that is my opinion.
[name_u]Dakota[/name_u]: I always picture a boy, but it can suit a girl well.
