Hi! I am due with #3 very soon, and the husband and I are completely at odds over a name. We cannot even discuss it any more until we either have a new suggestion or one of us budges. I fear we will end up with no name before the birth and make a hasty decision in the hospital that I will regret. Please help!!
This baby’s middle name is [name]Hayes[/name] after his brother (this is non negotiable). Big sister is [name]Sloane[/name].
My favorite name is [name]Miller[/name], simply bc I like it, and it is unique. But, we have no ties to the name, and since it is usually a surname, I can understand that everyone doesn’t love it. I also like [name]Davis[/name] (kind of blah), [name]Dixon[/name] (family name but hesitate with NN [name]Dick[/name]) and [name]Brooks[/name] (don’t like it with the middle name tho), but I am not excited about any of them. I liked [name]Asher[/name] a lot, but hubby vetoed. His favorite is [name]Weston[/name], and I am not excited at all about it. My husband wants a name that ends with an ‘n,’ but that is not a requirement for me. Our last name starts with an E, and he likes the way the n sounds.
Can anyone think of anything great? Any thoughts on my list??? I am having such anxiety over this!!! Thank you in advance!
We have a dog named [name]Cooper[/name], a cat named [name]Carson[/name], a friend named [name]Paxton[/name] (although it was only list for a while bc I decided I didn’t care until hubby vetoed) and a friend with a child named [name]Soloman[/name]. Ha! I think [name]Sawyer[/name] is too popular but I do like [name]Sullivan[/name]. Not sure I am crazy about the NN [name]Sully[/name] tho. Thanks for your suggestions!
I think if [name]Hayes[/name] is definitely the mn you should consider something less surname-y so you don’t go surname overload. It does seem like a lot of what you like are surnames, though. [name]Weston[/name] [name]Hayes[/name] is my favorite of all your possibilities, to be honest, I know it doesn’t thrill you, but I like how the name feels, if that makes sense. It is like the two names fit together like puzzle pieces.
[name]Corbin[/name]-seems like it would fit both of your styles.
[name]Houston[/name]-I like the alliteration. [name]Houston[/name] [name]Hayes[/name].
I really like [name]Saxon[/name] and [name]Saxon[/name] [name]Hayes[/name] has all the right vibes.
Now you know that [name]Miller[/name] has gone to the girls don’t you? So I would strike that one off for a son.
More ideas
[name]Lachlan[/name] (locklin)
[name]Grant[/name] (sounds a bit like it ends in an ‘n’)
[name]Simon[/name]
[name]Hudson[/name]
[name]Malcolm[/name] (too much of a stretch?)
[name]Eben[/name]
[name]Tobin[/name] nn of [name]Toby[/name]
[name]Colton[/name] nn [name]Cole[/name]
[name]Hope[/name] that this helps, and don’t worry we will help you with combos even if you go to the hospital with a list!
I think [name]Miller[/name] [name]Hayes[/name] sounds fine, but my favorite from everything you listed is [name]Weston[/name] [name]Hayes[/name]. What about [name]Warren[/name]? [name]Warren[/name] [name]Hayes[/name] is very handsome!
The only ones I can think of that haven’t been listed:
[name]Quinn[/name]
[name]Duncan[/name]
[name]Desmond[/name]
Although, I really like [name]Weston[/name] too. [name]Love[/name] [name]Wes[/name] or [name]West[/name] as a nn!
[name]Do[/name] you like [name]Logan[/name]? Surname that ends in ‘n’ and goes well with [name]Hayes[/name]. I know a 6yo [name]Logan[/name] and he is super-sweet.
We considered [name]Kellen[/name] for my son! We went with [name]Callan[/name] instead as his middle name, but I still love [name]Kellen[/name]. I really like the nn of Kel or [name]Kelly[/name]. I prefer the [name]Kellen[/name] spelling just because i like the repeating vowels [name]Don[/name]'t ask me why, I’m just a weirdo
My sister’s name is [name]Kelly[/name], so this will be a nod to her. I think I like the [name]Kellen[/name] spelling better and people may spell it right but [name]Kellan[/name] looks more masculine maybe? Thanks to everyone for the help!!
