Delphi, Yseult, Runa?

Interested in hearing what others think of:

Delphi
(“del-fee”)

Yseult
(using the anglophone pronounciation as heard in this clip https://youtu.be/jIe2tZAXWS0?si=xlAV68c2ul4yMWWk so basically “ee-zuult”)

Runa
(the Scandinavian version, not the Japanese version, since I have heritage from the former but not the latter)

Thank you! :glowing_star:

[name_f]Delphi[/name_f] ~ love it! One of my favourite places in the world and as a name it has a beautiful sound. Fits right in with the other classical names in rotation but considerably less expected!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Yseult[/name_f] ~ adore her, would definitely encounter some pronunciation and spelling difficulties in the first name spot but she’s just so beautiful and magical.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Runa[/name_f] ~ has a kind of mysterious earthy vibe, I’d expect a [name_f]Runa[/name_f] to be really good at keeping houseplants alive and know all about crystals, you know?

[name_f]Delphi[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- It’s okay, but I like [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] more! I would also expect you to have some kind of significant connection to the location

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Yseult[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- I enjoy the sound! Especially that “iz” beginning, it’s a name with a fun vibe. Although maybe Izolda/Isolde would be a little bit easier to wear – I think I probably prefer [name_f]Yseult[/name_f] as a middle!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Runa[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- Love!! [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] and strong in its simplicity, vaguely fairy tale-ish without being too faantastical.

Such a gorgeous name!

[name_f]Delphi[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- I was saying her dell fye in my head, del-fee is much sweeter! [name_f][/name_f] :joy:[name_f][/name_f]. I love a good [name_f]Della[/name_f] name, I probably wouldn’t use her myself (given [name_f]Adele[/name_f] is my favorite girls’ name), but I would love to meet one!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Yseult[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- love! [name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Not[/name_m] as much as the [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] family, but I do love a good [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] variant! [name_f][/name_f] I can never decide if I prefer [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] or [name_f]Yseult[/name_f], but I’m leaning toward [name_f]Yseult[/name_f]? [name_f][/name_f] She’s just so lovely!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Runa[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- lovely name! [name_f][/name_f] Of all the -una names, [name_f]Oona[/name_f] is far and away my favorite, but I find [name_f]Runa[/name_f] mysterious and interesting.

[name_f][/name_f]

I would probably rank them [name_f]Yseult[/name_f], [name_f]Delphi[/name_f], and then [name_f]Runa[/name_f], but they’re all lovely in their own way!

[name_f]Delphi[/name_f] – a sunny, stylish choice, with a hint of mystique. Substantial but sweet [name_f][/name_f]- like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], and [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] but lighter

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Yseult[/name_f] – I’d probably spell it as [name_f]Iseult[/name_f] in this case, but i can see the appeal of [name_f]Yseult[/name_f] too [name_f][/name_f]- poetic and interesting, a regal and elegant choice, but with a crisp kind of strength

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Runa[/name_f] – gentle, magical and alluring, with a hint of ruggedness ; conjures up spells, snow, and storybooks

I have actually come across all of these in the wild, so I can confirm they are totally wearable!

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Delphi[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] is my favourite. [name_f]My[/name_f] cousin is named this and I’ve always thought it was gorgeous. [name_f]Bright[/name_f] and sweet but with bags of history too.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Yseult[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] is lovely too. Mysterious and magical feeling. [name_m]The[/name_m] one I met was [name_f]French[/name_f] so her pronunciation was (ee-ZUH), which is prettier IMO. Either way, I do think pronunciation is likely to be an issue as it looks quite complicated to the average [name_f]English[/name_f] speaker.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Runa[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] is simple and strong and I am honestly surprised it isn’t more popular alongside names like [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f]. I know one who is about 8 and it feels like a great choice that stands out just the right amount, without needing a big personality to pull it off.

[name_f]Runa[/name_f].

All three are lovely choices, though the former two aren’t my style. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Runa[/name_f]. I’m soft on magical and mythological things, and [name_f]Runa[/name_f] brings imagery of runes.
