Delta, your thoughts?

So I met a baby last week named [name_f]Delta[/name_f]. She was the cutest little thing but her name caught me off guard. At first I thought, like the airline? But then I thought of the [name_f]Delta[/name_f] Blues, the song Walking in [name_u]Memphis[/name_u] and the actress [name_f]Delta[/name_f] [name_m]Burke[/name_m]. Now I kind of like it. What do you all think of it?

I think of the airline, the geographical term and the Greek letter. I can’t see it as a name.

I think of the river, delta belt, I think of the greek term delta which leads me to think of the greek fraternities, I think of delta sander, I think of the surname, and lastly I think of the airlines. When I think of the airlines, I think of white sand beaches, salty water, the breezy in my face cooling off the warm glow of the sun. I like the name!

Haha, when I think of the airline I think of lacklustre air hosts, poor food and uncomfy seats. :stuck_out_tongue:

Okay its the destination that the airline takes me too when I think of delta. lol.

I love it!

Really great. It sounds like a strong name to me…maybe because of it’s Greek letter association and at the same time it’s got that Southern charm thing going on. Great alternative to or pairing with [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]…

I always think of the airline. I have a hard time seeing it as a name.

I just think of [name_f]Delta[/name_f] Goodrem, who I adored when I was like 8. So no bad connections here!

Famous Australian singer

It’s the first time I’ve ever given thought to this name but I like it! Very spunky

I am in Australia, and the first association most people have with the name over here is [name_f]Delta[/name_f] Goodrem, a singer and television talent show judge, so I can certainly see it working as a name. I’ve not heard of the airline, to be honest, so it depends where you live.

I don’t like it. All I think about is the airline and I don’t think I’d ever be able to get that out of my mind, even after meeting someone with the name. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if the airline didn’t exist, I don’t think it would come across as a particularly pretty name. It sounds harsh.
