Although [name_u]Demeter[/name_u] is a legit girl’s name…it always sounds so masculine to me. It’s not really my cup of tea, but its not a terrible name. If you love it, then use it. [name_f]Demi[/name_f] could be a cute nickname option.
I love [name_u]Demeter[/name_u], prefer [name_f]Demetra[/name_f]/[name_f]Demetria[/name_f] and [name_u]Damaris[/name_u] is nice/probably the most wearable of the three.
I like it, not exactly my style but it’s an unique option for getting to [name_f]Demi[/name_f] which I’ve only heard as a nn for Demarie in my life. I really like the nn!
I love the idea, however I’m not sure how well it would work [name_m]IRL[/name_m]. I know one [name_u]Demeter[/name_u]. For years she went by her middle name (Tuesd@y) and then a few years ago, at about 11, she changed her name. As its the only example I can go by, I’m hesitant to use it.
I agree: [name_f]Demetra[/name_f] / [name_f]Demetria[/name_f] would be a more wearable version of [name_u]Demeter[/name_u] – and still gives you the nickname. [name_u]Damaris[/name_u] is one that has grown on me. I prefer [name_f]Maris[/name_f], but this is lovely. There is also [name_u]Dominique[/name_u] and I just recently met a little boy named Damascus, which I thought very intriguing. He goes by the same name as my nephew, Dimas, mostly ([name_f]Dee[/name_f]-mahs). Not really related, but thought I’d throw it out there!
