It is the feminine form of [name_m]Dmitry[/name_m]/Dimitry isnt it?
I dont really [name_f]Demetria[/name_f], I agree that it sounds a little but like dementia.

It’s more like [name_m]Dmitry[/name_m] is a masculine form of [name_f]Demetria[/name_f]! [name_f]Demetria[/name_f] is a variant of [name_u]Demeter[/name_u] (Greek goddess), and [name_m]Dmitry[/name_m] means “follower of [name_u]Demeter[/name_u]”.

I love [name_f]Demetria[/name_f]! I know a [name_f]Demetria[/name_f] that goes by Tria. :slightly_smiling_face:

Also, don’t let the negative comments about dementia get to you. It’s like saying people shouldn’t use [name_u]Austin[/name_u] because it’s close to autism, but [name_u]Austin[/name_u] is a super popular name regardless.

I really like it! I’m super into less popular names that end in -ia as an alternative to names like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] ([name_f]Wisteria[/name_f], [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] etc) and so I think [name_f]Demetria[/name_f] is gorgeous!

I like it! I think it could be a little difficult to wear because of the aforementioned associations, but if you really like it I reckon it’d be fine. Another similar name is [name_u]Demeter[/name_u], which I feel is pretty and doesn’t have the dementia connotation.

I used to love this name because of Spy Kids 3 :smile: It’s not my favourite, but it’s okay I guess.
