[name_m]Abram[/name_m] [name_m]Obadiah[/name_m] (husband was never on board with [name_m]Obadiah[/name_m], though)
[name_m]Abram[/name_m] [name_u]Nolan[/name_u]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_u]Finch[/name_u]
[name_m]Frederic[/name_m] [name_u]Finch[/name_u]
Tend to like timeless, old school names that are still uncommon and a little unexpected, yet recognizable, not made-up, not misspelled, and not trendy.
Big brother is [name_m]Warren[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m].
Last name is two syllables, starts with St-, has an o in the middle and ends in -er.
I made name flash cards for my husband and asked him repeatedly for a week. Things changed. It was presented in a âletâs keep it on the table until weâre sure we want to eliminate itâ way. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] thatâs helpful!
Your names are all going in a great direction; not scattered.
Iâve also put away names for a few days to try to gain a fresh perspective.
One last thing. If meaning is important to you, isolate the meaning and see which meaning stands out most.
Sometimes I donât know how I feel about a name either if Iâve been looking at it over and over for too long! I find breaks are helpful for both of us; I add new names or combos occasionally when I come up with them and have a name discussion with my husband every couple weeks or so. We both get overwhelmed if we have our faces in the list all the time.
Hopefully he comes back around to the names youâve been discussing. There are lots of handsome suggestions above, too.
You suggested a lot that I love- [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] and [name_u]Finnegan[/name_u] are two I keep coming back to. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband still vetos [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] but might consider [name_u]Finnegan[/name_u]. I feel like [name_u]Finn[/name_u] has become super popular, but it really isnât ranked that high despite hearing it all of the time?
[name_m]Bram[/name_m] could be a great middle contender!
I do like Eamon/Eames but my husband thinks the re are too many ways people will pronounce or spell them.
Weâve throw around [name_m]Albert[/name_m] and I like the nickname option of [name_u]Albie[/name_u]. I think itâs super cute and sweet. I also like [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], husband doesnât. [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is on my middle list because it is similar to our first sonâs middle name.
[name_u]Arthur[/name_u] is one that keeps hanging around the top of our list- if I wasnât worried about I creasing popularity of it it would probably be one of our very top contenders, but itâs still high up on the list. I LOVE [name_m]Clive[/name_m] as a C.S. [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] nod but my husband wonât go for it. Maybe I can swing it as a middle.
Youâre so good.
I love [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] so much, I keep bringing it back up and it always gets a Nope from my husband. I also like [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] a lot. [name_m]Ansel[/name_m], [name_m]Roland[/name_m], [name_u]Clyde[/name_u], and Declanâs are all some Iâve pitched to him. [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] was at the top of our list in the beginning then he started changing his tune about it, and now maybe just considers it for a middle. I still love it though. [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] are high on our list- I know I threw out [name_u]Franklin[/name_u] early on and he didnât like it, but I havenât revisited that one since the beginning so Iâm going to toss it around again and see if heâs ch aged his mind. [name_u]Franklin[/name_u] give me warm nostalgic feelings for some reason- I think there was the kidsâ show with a turtle named [name_u]Franklin[/name_u]? Maybe thatâs why I like it?
[name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] is another Iâve pitched a lot that he never gets behind, itâs reminding me of [name_m]Gulliver[/name_m] too. We havenât revisited that one in a while.
Your list definitely stirred up some names to either revisit or consider, thank you!
I googled it and there was a cartoon [name_u]Franklin[/name_u] the turtle I do love [name_u]Franklin[/name_u] and you never know, he might like it!
[name_m]Gulliver[/name_m] is pretty cool - you never know, he might like it!!
[name_m]Evander[/name_m], [name_m]Tolliver[/name_m], [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u], [name_u]Sylvester[/name_u], [name_m]Sylvan[/name_m], [name_m]Olson[/name_m], [name_u]Ellison[/name_u], [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] (too close to Warren?) and [name_m]Grant[/name_m] came to mind as similar suggestions
