Desperate to fall in love with a name for baby number 2!!!!

Hello!

So we’re having a little boy in the next couple of months and are at a complete lost as to what to call him!!! With his older sister we had 4 strong contenders and were completely torn as we loved all of them (we settled on [name_f]Elise[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]) but we just can’t seem to find any we are as passionate about for our little man.

Can anyone help?

I have a few on the list at the moment but they all feel a little blah to me at the moment…

[name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_m]Boyd[/name_m] - this is rare in the UK and we loved it at first but have since had v.negative reactions from family :frowning:
[name_u]Blake[/name_u] - would have been a serious contender if [name_f]Elise[/name_f] had been a boy but has since climbed the popularity chart in the UK
[name_u]Aiden[/name_u]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m] - my other half goes back and forth on this one
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] - as for [name_u]Blake[/name_u], plus what do you call him for short?!
[name_m]Ewan[/name_m] - My original fave
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
[name_u]Owen[/name_u]
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] - Possibly too close to [name_f]Elise[/name_f]?
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m] - love it but [name_m]Ben[/name_m] is uber popular at the mo!
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] - My maiden name

If anyone has any ideas of feedback at all it would be so so appreciated! I’m just desperate to feel that connection if that makes any sense?!

Xx

[name_m]Archer[/name_m] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] are my favorites with [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. As for a nickname for [name_u]Blake[/name_u], it doesn’t really need one since it is only one syllable. However, if the middle name starts with a J, you could call him BJ (it could be prone to teasing, but I don’t think he would have to worry about that for awhile). If you decide on [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Hank[/name_m] is a popular nickname for it.

Other suggestions:
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]- “[name_u]Theo[/name_u]” or “[name_u]Teddy[/name_u]”
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m]- Similar to [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]
[name_m]Beckham[/name_m]
[name_m]Declan[/name_m]- Is this too popular where you live?
[name_u]Brady[/name_u]
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]- “[name_m]Rhett[/name_m]” or “[name_u]Ever[/name_u]”
[name_m]Fredrick[/name_m]- “[name_u]Freddie[/name_u]”
[name_m]Liam[/name_m]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]- “[name_u]Max[/name_u]”
[name_m]Drake[/name_m]- Similar to [name_u]Blake[/name_u]
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]- “[name_u]Ollie[/name_u]”
[name_u]Drew[/name_u]
[name_m]Maddox[/name_m]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]- “[name_m]Gabe[/name_m]”
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_m]Roarke[/name_m]
[name_m]Killian[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]- “[name_m]Hugh[/name_m]” or “[name_m]Hughie[/name_m]”
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
[name_u]Hayden[/name_u]
[name_m]Mitchell[/name_m]
[name_m]Marshall[/name_m]
[name_m]Judson[/name_m]
[name_m]Deacon[/name_m]
[name_u]Brighton[/name_u]
[name_m]Leeland[/name_m]
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]
[name_m]Bowen[/name_m]

I love [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] with [name_f]Elise[/name_f], no nickname. [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Hart[/name_m] or [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] [name_m]Hart[/name_m] would be nice! Also, if you love [name_m]Boyd[/name_m] don’t even worry about family reactions, they will grow to love it since they’ll love him. The same happened with my son ([name_u]Owen[/name_u]). [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and [name_f]Elise[/name_f] are also nice together. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] could be [name_m]Hank[/name_m]! These are my thoughts all jumbled together. good luck :). A few other ideas: [name_u]Dexter[/name_u], [name_u]Calder[/name_u], [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Desmond[/name_m], [name_m]Declan[/name_m], [name_m]Jonah[/name_m], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]…

[name_m]Hart[/name_m] seems like a really good option to me, it will be virtually unique in the UK and is a really handsome name.

[name_m]Ewan[/name_m], [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] and [name_m]Boyd[/name_m] would also be lovely

I like the idea of [name_m]Hart[/name_m]! It’s unique but definitely not crazy! I also really like [name_u]Blake[/name_u]. And nicknames come with time! His favorite animal might end up being a frog and you call him ‘Frogger’, or something else completely unknown as of yet…have fun with it!

I love [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]! I’m not a fan of [name_m]Archer[/name_m], [name_u]Aiden[/name_u], [name_u]Blake[/name_u], [name_m]Heath[/name_m], [name_u]Owen[/name_u] or [name_m]Ewan[/name_m] with [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and [name_m]Boyd[/name_m] as middles. [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] are both nice, but to me [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] and [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] go best.

[name_m]Ben[/name_m] is a super simple, but very cool nickname. I don’t think it is overly popular and haven’t met that many in my life to be honest. If it is becoming too common for you, what about using [name_m]Benny[/name_m]? I grew up with a [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] called [name_m]Benny[/name_m] and he was very cute, nice boy so I am fond of the nickname.

I would NOT use a J middle name for a B first name.

My top 3
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Boyd[/name_m] - sounds cool to me despite the alliteration
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m] [name_m]Hart[/name_m] - is also very lovely
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] - Dashing, smart, I love [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]!

[name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Hart[/name_m]
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] [name_m]Hart[/name_m]
[name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]

Have always loved [name_m]Hart[/name_m] for a middle and that its your surname makes it extra special.
[name_m]Ewan[/name_m] is my pick for a first - If you are over it maybe its not good to try to revive it.
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] & [name_m]Eoin[/name_m] also.

[name_m]Archer[/name_m] - this is really cute, and I love the nickname [name_m]Archie[/name_m].
[name_m]Boyd[/name_m] - I really like this…although I prefer it as a mn to a fn.
[name_u]Blake[/name_u] - I have very bad associations with this name, so I have never liked it.
[name_u]Aiden[/name_u] - Okay, but I think it’s too common.
[name_m]Heath[/name_m] - definitely not for me because I always think of ‘heathen’.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] - love it and the nicknames [name_m]Hal[/name_m] and [name_m]Hank[/name_m].
[name_m]Ewan[/name_m] - not really a fan of this. I prefer it with a u ([name_m]Euan[/name_m]).
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] - quite like this name, especially the nickname [name_u]Spence[/name_u].
[name_m]Owen[/name_m] - I can only see this on an adult, not a little kid.
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] - okay, but I think it’s a little too close to [name_f]Elise[/name_f].
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m] - certainly not a fan of this name (bad associations).
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] - I think this is actually okay, but I prefer it as a nn (e.g. for [name_u]Hartley[/name_u]).

My favourite would probably be [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Archer[/name_m], with [name_m]Boyd[/name_m] and [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] not too far behind them.

I do love [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], but [name_u]Everett[/name_u] would be a great choice as it is not so similar to [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. I like [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] too. One of my personal favorites is [name_m]Ramsey[/name_m], which might fit with your tastes. Good luck!

I like [name_m]Boyd[/name_m] and [name_m]Hart[/name_m]!

A few other options…
Avrett [name_m]Hart[/name_m]
[name_u]Barrett[/name_u] [name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Hart[/name_m]

Bit more out there…
[name_m]Edik[/name_m] [name_m]Hart[/name_m]
Radek [name_m]Boyd[/name_m]
Haddix [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]
[name_m]Cadoc[/name_m] [name_m]Heath[/name_m]

[name_m]Ewan[/name_m] and [name_m]Hart[/name_m] are fantastic! [name_m]Euan[/name_m] (spelling difference) was my grandfather figure’s name and I have always loved it. [name_m]Hart[/name_m] is so handsome and I love that it is your name too. Good luck!

I love [name_m]Hart[/name_m] with [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. The first name that popped in my head was [name_m]Byron[/name_m].
