we are expecting our 3rd daughter. exciting and challenging to name her as our first two girls’ names are strong, stylish and uncommon names. (I’m not disclosing those because I have too many friends reading these forums. i don’t want them to figure out what our possible names are). so… we are down to Mila or Myelle. we are comfortable with both, we really like both, and both fit well into the sib set. we also have middle names picked for both, but we’re much more confident in those choices. what are your thoughts on these two names? love one? hate one? constructive feedback is greatly appreciated!! thank you!
I like [name]Mila[/name] better of the two. I like the idea of something longer, like [name]Milena[/name] or [name]Camille[/name]/[name]Camila[/name] or [name]Emilia[/name], nn [name]Mila[/name], but just [name]Mila[/name] is nice, too. Myelle reminds me a lot of [name]Maelle[/name] (mah-[name]ELL[/name] or mah-[name]ELL[/name]-eh, from what I’ve heard), which I think is very pretty, too. I think [name]Mila[/name] feels like it’s a bit more classy, but that’s mainly due to the fact that Myelle has that “Y” in it that can make a name feel trendy even if it’s not…
Good luck!
[name]Mila[/name] is pretty, but to me it’s a nickname name and it makes me think of [name]Mila[/name] Kunis. I like it much better than Myelle.
I love [name]Mila[/name]. I like Myelle, but I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Mila[/name]. It’s beautiful, strong, classy, and feminine. I think it’s a great name. Myelle feels slightly more like a trend to me.
I love [name]Mila[/name]!
Another vote for [name]Mila[/name], gorgeous name
I love [name]Mila[/name]! Pick this one!
[name]Mila[/name] all the way, [name]LOVE[/name] this name.
But of course, I am biased My youngest is [name]Mila[/name] (pronounced Me-la).
I’m with ashthedreamer. [name]Mila[/name] is usually a nickname. [name]Mila[/name] Kunis is [name]Milena[/name]. That said it’s pretty & I prefer it to the other choice.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Mila[/name], don’t love Myelle sorry! Good luck
I guess I’m the dissenter here.
I prefer Myelle, as it looks more finished and less like a nickname by itself. I’m strange in that I have weird preferences on how names end, the “elle” ending looks more classic and formal. Personally, I think you could use [name]Mila[/name] as a nn for Myelle without a problem.
Congrats on your 3rd daughter!
