I babysit a little girl named [name_u]Oakley[/name_u]. Her middle name is [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. I personally think [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] is a cute name.
I honestly wouldn’t take any opinions of dislike too much to heart. There’s probably thousands of people out there who [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] your name that aren’t on Nameberry expressing their thoughts and feelings about it!! I wouldn’t want everyone to love my chosen names or else they wouldn’t be quite so unique.
On another note I actually really love [name_u]Oakley[/name_u]! It’s on my rather extensive list! 
I love the nature theme and think this is especially sweet for a girl! I don’t know about the [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] association but I’m from the UK so that could explain it. [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is a great combo - if you really love it I’d say it’s perfect!
If you go with [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], I definitely suggest spelling it in the original form, as a teacher I can attest to how aggravating it is to deal with everyone’s uniquely spelled name.

I actually really like the name [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], it’s a sort of nature name that has spunk and energy. I wouldn’t listen to what others have to say about the name if you love it. Girl names are so vast, and everyone has their taste. I would stay away from [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] though, just because of [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], but I feel that name can work… just for me personally I’m not crazy about the combo.

one thing to always consider is these are other peoples opinions you’re asking for, and they are strangers opinions! I don’t like it very much, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use it. if you love a name, by all means use it! who cares what we think? its unlikely any of us will ever meet her!
