I’ve been thinking the last couple of days about [name_m]Devereaux[/name_m]/Devereux/Deveraux for a boy but I’m baffled as to what style it is. I literally cannot think of how it could fit into a sibset.
I was just wondering which is your favourite spelling and what names you consider to go well with this as a sibset (girls or boys)/ what names you consider to be of a similar style?
I was also quite intrigued with this name when I discovered it! [name_m]Deveraux[/name_m] is probably my favorite spelling, and I always figured I’d use it as a surname for a character.
Some names that I think could go well with it:
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_u]August[/name_u]/Augustus
[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_m]Ignatius[/name_m]

[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]

[name_u]October[/name_u]
[name_m]Richard[/name_m]
[name_m]Robert[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
I love [name_m]Devereaux[/name_m]! I’d like to second [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Devereaux[/name_m]. It’s the first thing that came to mind for me!
I LOVE [name_m]Devereaux[/name_m]! [name_f]My[/name_f] second fav is [name_f]Devereux[/name_f]. [name_m]Devereaux[/name_m] is very elegant and grand so I think an equally elegant name is needed.
[name_u]French[/name_u] LN.
Wouldnt use it unless one of the parents is [name_u]French[/name_u] or the kid will be living in a [name_u]French[/name_u] speaking country.
Fyi all 3 are pronounced differently.
If you like the style of longer [name_u]French[/name_u] names, perhaps:
[name_m]Desmond[/name_m]
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_m]Edouard[/name_m]
[name_m]Guillaume[/name_m] (french for william)
Francois
[name_m]Nicolas[/name_m]
[name_u]Jean[/name_u]-[name_m]Luc[/name_m]
[name_u]Jean[/name_u]-[name_m]Marc[/name_m]
Thierry
[name_m]Sébastien[/name_m]
[name_m]Beauregard[/name_m]
Or maybe just longer, 19th- early 20th century names?
