We couldn’t commit to [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] for our first boy, but we just love the name! What are your thoughts on a little [name_m]Dex[/name_m]?

I don’t mind [name_m]Dex[/name_m], but [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] sounds too violent for me; I never watched the show yet it’s the first thing that I think about.

I love [name_u]Dexter[/name_u], enough that I would actually use it. It’s pretty mainstream here in the UK at #73 in 2014.

The show ruined the name for me. I really like the name [name_m]Dax[/name_m] (as in [name_m]Dax[/name_m] [name_m]Shepperd[/name_m]) and it’s similar.

I am not the biggest [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] fan mainly because of poindexter but I do think it has a cool feel aside from that

I keep going back and fourth with [name_u]Dexter[/name_u]. I never watched the show but the show is what concerns me. I think [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] is handsome, nerdy but cool nerdy, and spunky. I love [name_m]Dex[/name_m]. [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] is on my short list.

I love it! I think it’s a great name. I agree that it’s kind of geek-chic. Despite the show (I watched the whole thing), I actually find it quite approachable. Especially with the nn [name_m]Dex[/name_m]. I have heard a 3 babies recently with this name tho, so it’s def catching on…

I don’t like [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] at all. The first thing I think of is [name_u]Dexter[/name_u]'s Laboratory, and then [name_u]Dexter[/name_u], the show about a serial killer.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! One of my boys is [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] and haven’t heard anything negative about the name yet in real life. Sure some people might not like the association to the serial killer on tv, but honestly we don’t shy away from [name_m]Charles[/name_m] ([name_m]Manson[/name_m]), [name_m]Jack[/name_m] (the ripper) or [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] (Dahmer) that actually killed people in real life so why should a tv series about a serial killer affect our opinion so much.
