I love [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. I feel [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is very versatile. I have mixed feelings about [name_u]Dexter[/name_u].
I really really like [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. It works on a little boy, a middle aged man and an elderly man. I don’t think [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] works the same.
Another vote for the spunky and versatile [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] gives off opposing images for me: the first syllable [name_m]Dex[/name_m] is full of macho swagger but add the last syllable to it and it turns into a kind of weak and geeky name. And then there’s the serial killer association (even though the series has ended, the image will linger around for awhile). [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] would be a fun combo.
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]! Although I think [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] would be undeniably cool. [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] as a FN reminds me of that annoying cartoon, [name_u]Dexter[/name_u]'s Laboratory, and also the show [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] (which I’ve not seen, but I don’t like the idea of naming a son after a serial killer). I think the friendly and quirky [name_m]Jack[/name_m] balances out [name_u]Dexter[/name_u]'s sort of harshness, though, and I would love to meet a little [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]Dexter[/name_u]! Such a fun name.
