I’m looking for a unique name. I’ve heard of Diem for a girl, but does it work on a boy. It would definitely be a middle name but still used at home and in school. [name]Do[/name] you see any mispronouncing from adults? Thanks in advance! I also like the name [name]Arrow[/name] but I’M afraid everyone in my family will hate it.
As in “carpe diem”?
Yep! To me that’s part of the appeal.
I keep wanting to say “Diem, Carpe Diem.” I’d honestly expect a sibling to be named Carpe.
Lol! Never.
I’m not wild about it, but as a middle it could work. I think it’s just so tired to the one Latin phrase that people would know that it might affect their initial reaction to it. I am inclined to think that the relatives that might react negatively to [name]Arrow[/name] would have a similar reaction to diem.
Diem is also so unusual that he might have people thinking he’s saying his name is (for example) [name]Thomas[/name] D.M.
[name]Just[/name] another consideration.
Same here.
[name]Arrow[/name] is way too much for me. As much as I don’t like Diem, I’d rather see a child named Diem than [name]Arrow[/name].
