[name_f]Mercy[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Temperance[/name_f]
[name_f]Joy[/name_f] and [name_f]Glory[/name_f] are not quite my style, but I do not think they cause an issue with your last name.
I really do not understand your comment regarding a more unique name. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] is less common than [name_f]Faith[/name_f] by a very large margin.
[name_f]Constance[/name_f]
[name_f]Verity[/name_f]
[name_f]Amity[/name_f]
[name_f]Mercy[/name_f]
[name_f]Verity[/name_f] is a virtue name I’ve grown to love (not least because of the wonderful character in Poldark). It’s bubbly but mature…and perhaps less suggestive?
I would stay away from [name_f]Glory[/name_f] for sure; [name_f]Joy[/name_f] doesn’t make me think of “enjoy,” but “joystick” does come to mind.
What about [name_f]Amity[/name_f] or [name_u]Joyce[/name_u] they mean joy but aren’t as obvious
[name_u]Bliss[/name_u]
[name_f]Blithe[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_u]Justice[/name_u]
[name_u]Genesis[/name_u] (I met a ticket booth girl with that name)
Sympathy
[name_f]Clemency[/name_f]
[name_f]Meadow[/name_f] (God’s pasture?)
Willeth (His will)
[name_u]Harmony[/name_u]
[name_f]Clementina[/name_f] is one of my favourites.
I don’t get any of those references (and don’t want to), but if they’re a problem, what about another name that means joy or glory? (Btw I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Glory[/name_f] and would be over the moon to meet someone with that name!)
Like the suggestions of [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Verity[/name_f], and [name_f]Clemency[/name_f]!
Other virtue/similar names:

Wow, tough situation. I sympathize. Unfortunately, I agree with your husband that your daughter would have to deal with stupid comments with a suggestive last name and the first name of [name_f]Joy[/name_f] or [name_f]Glory[/name_f]. I think you should avoid names that could be interpreted as nouns or adjectives if your last name doubles as a noun. Could you instead consider the name of a major historic figure from whatever your religious tradition is, or a name that means something beautiful? For instance, [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] means “gift of God.” If you absolutely love [name_f]Joy[/name_f] or [name_f]Glory[/name_f], I’d use them as middle names.
I’m sorry but I would not go with [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f] or [name_f]Joy[/name_f] Weiner! My suggestion is to use a name that has the same or similar meaning to these names you love, but are not exactly words that can be used as adjectives.
I really like the suggestion of [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] and [name_f]Amity[/name_f] because they are not commonly used in everyday English and they are both classic and beautiful without being difficult to spell or recognize. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] or Gloriana instead of [name_f]Glory[/name_f]? [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] is also musical to me as it is a word that is used in many religious hymns.
My last name makes it a little difficult to use names that I really love because our last name is a verb that can sound harsh. The struggle is real. But if you really love a name you should use it!
Suggestion:
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] nn [name_u]Jules[/name_u]/[name_f]Joy[/name_f]
Glorianna nn [name_f]Glory[/name_f]
Sadly, most virtue names are going to have a certain vibe. [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] comes to mind as a good option.
You might consider an elaboration of [name_f]Glory[/name_f] or [name_f]Joy[/name_f] like Gloriana, [name_f]Gloria[/name_f], [name_f]Joyann[/name_f], Joyanna or possibly a double barrel name like [name_f]Glory[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Glory[/name_f]-[name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Bella[/name_f]-[name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f]-[name_f]Joy[/name_f] etc.
However if you want just a pure virtue type name I would at least avoid any name that denotes pleasure… I think most of these names have been mentioned like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Verity[/name_f], [name_f]Amity[/name_f], [name_f]Charity[/name_f], [name_f]Temperance[/name_f], [name_f]Patience[/name_f], [name_f]Mercy[/name_f] and [name_f]Prudence[/name_f] and
I would also suggest [name_f]Constance[/name_f], [name_f]Honor[/name_f], [name_u]Harmony[/name_u] since I didn’t see them suggested anywhere
Some more out of the box suggestions might be…
[name_f]Blythe[/name_f] (still get that Joyful meaning, without kids knowing what it is)
Brightly
[name_f]Serenity[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarity[/name_f]
[name_f]Reverie[/name_f]
[name_f]Liberty[/name_f]
[name_f]Silence[/name_f]
[name_f]Trinity[/name_f]
Remembrance
[name_f]Tace[/name_f]/[name_f]Tacy[/name_f]
[name_u]Haven[/name_u]
Like another poster said, unfortunately with any word name and a last name like ‘wiener’ it’s gonna give off a certain vibe, but as people get to know your daughter the name will become less and less of a word name, and more just her name.
I think a lot of this comes down to your actual last name. If it’s something like [name_m]Johnson[/name_m] or Dicks I would say don’t worry about it. If it is more of a word last name like [name_m]Wood[/name_m] or Wiener then maybe don’t use another noun as a first name.
