Sorry for posting again. I just want to decide on my name as quickly as possible.

An update… My mother has chosen the name [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as one of my middle names. Dad likes [name_f]Grace[/name_f] too so it’s a winner for me. I think this is how I am going to honour my Mum, by letting her choose one of my middle names. Also [name_f]Grace[/name_f] was the name of my Mum’s grandmother. So it would honour her side of the family.

A dilemma for me is I prefer the look of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] rather then [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. Maybe if I add another middle in the middle of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] I would love [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] more.

I don’t want anything to long a name, letter wise. So no names longer then 7 letters long. I just prefer the look of shorter names with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. It doesn’t matter how many syllables the name is.

The names I am thinking about using are…

[name_f]Elisa[/name_f] - A form of [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]/[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] which I love. It would honour my Dad’s side of the family.

[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]/[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - I love the name, but my parents do not. Plus I think it’s to long with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f].

[name_f]Elora[/name_f] - [name_f]Elora[/name_f] has the name [name_f]Lora[/name_f] in it. [name_f]Lora[/name_f] is another spelling of my birth name [name_f]Laura[/name_f].

[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] - I love the meaning star.

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f]/[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] - I now prefer the [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] spelling. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] is another way to honour an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. It would honour my Dad’s family.

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - I simply love the meaning, rainbow.

[name_f]Laura[/name_f]/[name_f]Lora[/name_f] - My first name now ([name_f]Laura[/name_f]). I could respell it as [name_f]Lora[/name_f].

[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sofie[/name_f] - My sister was named [name_f]Sofie[/name_f]. She died before I was born. I haven’t discussed using the name [name_f]Sofie[/name_f] with my Mum and Dad yet. I am not sure on their reactions.

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other suggestions?

I like a lot of your options but my favourites are:

  • [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]

  • [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (although I prefer [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f])

  • [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (again, prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Estella[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f])

If you like the look of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], I don’t see why you shouldn’t use it.

Also, if you don’t like [name_f]Laura[/name_f] in the first place, I don’t see why you would want to use it, even if its in middle position.

Maybe if you wanted to tie the names better together you could use another name with a ‘G’?

[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] [name_f]Elisa[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is beautiful and this one honours both sides of the family!! But they’re all great suggestions so you can’t really go wrong. Good luck!!
