[name]Regina[/name] is nice, but I do prefer [name]Maeve[/name]. I also think the [name]Maeve[/name] combo flows better. Mainly, though, I think you should use the name you’ve been dreaming of for so long.
If you love [name]Maeve[/name], you should use [name]Maeve[/name]. I love [name]Regina[/name] too, but I agree with krismichelle- the [name]Maeve[/name] combo flows better.
Could you compromise and do [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Regina[/name]? If not I’d go with [name]Maeve[/name] and stick with what you love.
[name]Maeve[/name] [name]Luciana[/name] flows better than the [name]Regina[/name] combo, in my opinion. It’s just so pretty. [name]Even[/name] if it makes others happy, I think what you want is the most important thing. Still, you could wait until you see the baby. It might turn out she feels like more of a [name]Regina[/name] than a [name]Maeve[/name].
I think [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Regina[/name] or [name]Regina[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] (this one flows better) could work well too.
I picked [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Luciana[/name].
I went to school with a [name]Regina[/name] and though most of us called her [name]Gina[/name], mean kids called her vagina. She was pretty cool and confident though and brushed it off.
[name]Maeve[/name] has a fresher feel to it [name]IMO[/name]. Once you have a little one and introduce her as [name]Maeve[/name], people will most likely come around and like her name because of who she is.
[name]Regina[/name] sounds VERY dated to me. [name]Maeve[/name] is such a spunky and fashionable pick compared to it.
Your mom got to pick a name when she named you. It’s your turn to pick something you love. [name]Maeve[/name] is a great name.
[name]Don[/name]'t give up on [name]Maeve[/name]! Personally, I like both names equally, but [name]Maeve[/name] is obviously more special to you, and I think you would regret not using it! If [name]Maeve[/name] ends up having a little sister, then maybe consider [name]Regina[/name] again.
Didn’t vote because I don’t like either combo.
[name]Maeve[/name] is becoming a bit trendy. It feels like I’m seeming it everywhere as a more sophisticated alternative to the filler mn [name]Mae[/name]/[name]May[/name].
I think Mean Girls has revived [name]Regina[/name] (and [name]Gretchen[/name]) so it doesn’t feel dated anymore
[name]Both[/name] names rank in the lower 500’s so neither is popular but [name]Maeve[/name] has been steadily climbing
[name]Regina[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is very pretty
Go with your dream for your child.
I voted for [name]Regina[/name], merely because I don’t like [name]Luciana[/name]. I second the suggestion of [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Regina[/name].
I would follow your heart and choose [name]Maeve[/name]. Your mother had her turn naming you so now it’s YOUR choice. [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Regina[/name] would be pretty.
I would choose [name]Maeve[/name]. I prefer it over [name]Regina[/name] and clearly so do you.
I like the suggestion of [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Regina[/name] but I know someone whose family was set against her fn and her parents decided on giving her a mn that the family approved of. Now her whole family calls her by her mn with the exception of her parents. It’s odd. I’m not telling you this to dissuade you from the combo just don’t want you to be blind sided if your family is as strong willed as my friends.
I’ve never been that big on [name]Maeve[/name]…but [name]Regina[/name] really strikes me as a middle aged name. So I voted for [name]Maeve[/name]. However, I don’t think it works with [name]Luciana[/name].
I prefer [name]Maeve[/name] by a long shot!
I personally prefer [name]Regina[/name].
[name]Maeve[/name] looks like a wizard name from a fantasy book to me.
But at the same time, it’s definitely a valid name–not a crazy made up spelling with a weird pronunciation. So I say, if you absolutely adore it, you’ll just regret it if you use something else. People will get used to whatever you choose and learn to love it.
I think I prefer [name]Regina[/name] by sound, I kind of dislike the [name]Maeve[/name] pronunciation. But this is not about me. I think you should choose the name you like, not the name your family likes. [name]Maeve[/name] is a nice name, it’s got loads of backbone and history, I love the warrior queen association (how cool is that? Very powerful and a feminist icon). I think maybe I’m just tired of the Irish name trend, there are very few of these names I like. But, again, not about me. I think [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Luciana[/name] is a pretty combo, so that is my vote! Good luck!
I much prefer [name]Maeve[/name] to [name]Regina[/name].
[name]Maeve[/name] [name]Luciana[/name] is beautiful! I would use it - she’s going to be your child, not your mother’s.
