[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries! I was shopping with friends a few days ago and as I was looking through the shelves I noticed a small promotional poster that included names of customers. Being a name nerd, I skimmed it and made an interesting name discovery. One girl’s name was Carolane. It was something I’d never heard before and it intrigued me. I love [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], and I thought Carolane was a cool, sort of modern twist? What do you think?

I also like how it opens up the ability to use [name_u]Lane[/name_u]/[name_u]Laney[/name_u] as a nickname. :slight_smile:

Carolane is interesting but I’d actually prefer it as something like [name_f]Cara[/name_f] [name_u]Lane[/name_u] or [name_f]Carol[/name_f] [name_u]Lane[/name_u].

To clarify, would you pronounce Carolane as care-oh-lane? I only ask because my first inclination was to say it as carol-anne.

Carolane sounds too made up to me.
