I have a few problems,
I love the names ginevra and lavender but i am afraid that everyone wil accosiate these with harry potter. I want them as first, not middle names. Can you think of any good nicknames I could use and do you think that this would even be a big problem??
Also, I adore the name Maclara but do you think that this sounds too made up… I would pare it with the middle name [name_u]Echo[/name_u].
I think [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] would be pretty strongly associated with [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m], since it’s so unusual and there isn’t really any other well-known context for it. People who haven’t read the books wouldn’t know her full name but SO many people have that it would come up a lot. [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] is a plant as well, and common in beauty products/aromatherapy, so doesn’t have that strong an association to me.
Both feel usable to me anyways, since [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] the character is a positive association and [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] not that strong a one, but I wouldn’t use both, it seems a bit overkill.
Nicknames: [name_f]Gigi[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f] for [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f]. [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] is harder, but maybe [name_f]Dee[/name_f] or [name_f]Lara[/name_f] (it has the first 3 letters in the right order, Lavender).
Maclara reminds me of McLaren cars. It’s a bit too clunky for me, sorry.
I adore [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Ginny[/name_f], [name_u]Ever[/name_u] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f]
I don’t really like [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] but I don’t think it would be associated with [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] because it’s a flower. [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] sounds too much like lavatory for my liking.
