My husband and I have relatively unusual names for our age group ([name_m]Caleb[/name_m] and [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]), so I just feel weird about top 10 names because my name was always so special and unique. We have a son and a daughter and are expecting a third but don’t know gender yet, although I am guessing boy because this pregnancy feels more like my first one with my son.
Our son is [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] (which is actually too common for my tastes but it just fit, no question.)
Our daughter is [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]
Our current boy name is [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m]. We like it but have received mixed reviews from family…just like we did with [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f], but they got used to it. Well…most of them did. My grandma still can’t say it or spell it and keeps asking what we are going to “call her” and we keep saying “[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f]” because we don’t really call our kids by nicknames but she writes “[name_f]Ria[/name_f]” on cards and things. Oh well!
We are stuck on a middle name to go with [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m]. We do this “word” middle name thing, and both our families are outdoorsy so we are considering: [name_m]Archer[/name_m] or [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]. Our last name starts with a vowel, would it be weird to have all vowels for initials? Are there any other good options for outdoorsy word middle names? I suggested [name_m]Garrison[/name_m] and [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] but my husband didn’t like those.
Our current girl name is [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and I think we’re pretty set on that. But is [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] becoming too popular? I’m not sure…is it weird to use herb names for both girls’ middle names (assuming we had a girl)?
Opinions?
