I’ve recently been getting a bit tired of the names on my favorites list. Not that I don’t still love a lot of the names, I’m just noticing myself caring more about what my s/o thinks and it’s making me question my name combos and wanting to come up with some new stuff that we may agree on better.
So, I have some new combos, but I’d love to get your thoughts on whether or not they flow well? And just your overall opinion on them.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is pretty. A lot of these flow very well. I don’t care much for [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is a nice choice too.
Thank you for your feedback. I’ve always loved [name_f]Jane[/name_f] in the middle spot. Wasn’t sure if [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] had nice flow or sounded too plain. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] you like
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] (I’d prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f] - the “wyn” ending is traditionally masculine, the “wen” ending feminine, plus I think the “e” spelling looks better next to [name_f]Lucy[/name_f])
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f]: love [name_f]Olive[/name_f], usually dislike [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] but this combo is lovely.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]: the flow of this is gorgeous - lilting and sing-song.
[name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]: love both of these names, and they’re perfect together. This is my fave.
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]: I like the modern-unisex balancing out the traditional-girly.
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Hart[/name_m]: like both [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] combos, but this has the best flow [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
[name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Bruno[/name_m]: even though I prefer [name_m]Felix[/name_m], I like the flow of [name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] better.
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] and [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] are both fantastic.
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] [name_u]Porter[/name_u] both work but I prefer the flow with [name_u]Porter[/name_u]. [name_u]Sully[/name_u] is a great nickname!
because each name ends in the long EE sound. Not a deal-breaker, but just something I notice. Especially with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], since both names have SEE in them (loo-see mac-seen).
Names like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] are really starting to grow on me. The more I say them, the more the feels right. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] you think these flow well!
I’m so picky with names, so it’s tough! The girl name I like the best our of your list is [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Rosette[/name_f]. I did like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Collette[/name_f] the best until I said it out loud and it reminded me way too much of narcolepsy. So, a negative connotation there, as well as with the name [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. I honestly can’t stand any name beginning with O because it sounds gross.
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] and [name_m]Samson[/name_m] are too biblical for me personally. But I do love [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Hart[/name_m].
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] - I really like the flow and the feel of this combo
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] - flows well but I’m not a fan of the 2x4 letters look
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] - this flows well, too
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] & [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] - both flow well, I really like [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] - beautiful flow
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] - same as [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Rosette[/name_f] - a bit r heavy
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] - they tun into each other a bit but they still work together
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] - as above
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] - beautiful flow, my favourite of the [name_f]Nora[/name_f] combos
[name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] - both flow well, I really like the look of [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] - maybe a bit o heavy but they generally flow well together
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] - as above, I like the feel of this, [name_f]Margot[/name_f] makes [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] feel more mature
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] - this is nice but I prefer [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] with someof the other names
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Hart[/name_m] & [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] - both flow well, I prefer the latter
[name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] & [name_m]Samson[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m] - both are nice but I think I would prefer [name_m]Samson[/name_m] with a three syllable middle name
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] - lovely
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] - definitely great
[name_m]Solomon[/name_m] ([name_u]Sully[/name_u]) [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] & [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] ([name_u]Sully[/name_u]) [name_u]Porter[/name_u] - both are nice, I prefer [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
I really like [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], too! [name_f]Glad[/name_f] to hear you like it.
For some reason, I didn’t think [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] flowed well, but I just love the look of it. And it helps that my s/o likes it a lot, too.
I agree with the “E” middle names paired with [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. I can see how they run together. I don’t think I like that.
What 3 syllable middle name would you pair with [name_m]Samson[/name_m]? [name_m]Just[/name_m] curious.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have a favorite name for both girls and boys?
