I appreciate that these two names may work just fine in terms of flow and balance. But do they seem really distinct from one another.?

I think they fit well together and with your other boys’ names! They do feel distinct from each other, even if they have some stylistic similarities. Their sounds and lengths keep them from seeming too similar.

Thank you. [name_f]Do[/name_f] they seem a bit unusual paired with each other… The only way I can explain this would be to give an example of how two names don’t mesh well in my opinion, for instance

[name_u]Jayden[/name_u] [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m] ( you wouldn’t expect these two together, does [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] seem that way?

[name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] feels like a natural pairing! They’re both familiar and solid feeling without being overused. They even both share nicknames with more traditional names (Eli and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] with [name_u]Elijah[/name_u] and Finnegan).

Thank you. I can’t find a middle I like with [name_u]Elias[/name_u] and I like both [name_u]Elias[/name_u] and [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] in equal measure.

They seem like they would work fine with each other, they don’t blend together or anything & it sounds like a really cute name.

It’s better than Elle-ee-is but I think [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_u]Finn[/name_u] would work better :slight_smile:

I think they work nicely, doesn’t sound stylistically ‘messy’ to me (unlike your example [name_u]Jayden[/name_u] Bartholomew) :slight_smile:
