Do these names sound weird as a couple

okay, so in my latest [name_f]Marvel[/name_f] fanfic I have two characters who end up getting together [name_f]Katerina[/name_f] “Kat” Romanov (Daughter of [name_f]Natasha[/name_f] Romanov and [name_m]Bucky[/name_m] [name_m]Barnes[/name_m] when they were both with Hydra) and [name_m]Barrett[/name_m] “Bear” [name_m]Stark[/name_m] (Son of [name_m]Tony[/name_m] [name_m]Stark[/name_m] and [name_f]Pepper[/name_f] Potts).

does it sound weird to have them be a couple if they both have animal names? I asked my mom what she thought (bc she’s my editor) and she said the only thing she’s worried about is [name_m]Tony[/name_m] and [name_m]Bucky[/name_m] sharing a grandchild.

I could use [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tia[/name_f] if it doesn’t work, but I really like the idea of her being named [name_f]Kat[/name_f].

I think it works well enough – there’s couples out there who have the same exact name (like my grandparents), so I wouldn’t worry too much about it. [name_m]Barrett[/name_m] “Bear” is such a handsome name!

I agree, I think it’s fine. However, if you think it’s too much and you’re looking for other nicknames for [name_f]Katerina[/name_f], may I suggest [name_f]Katya[/name_f], [name_f]Kati[/name_f], or [name_m]Kato[/name_m]?

I have looked into other nicknames, some people who knew her when she was with [name_f]Hydra[/name_f] call her [name_f]Katya[/name_f], she’s just very much a [name_f]Kat[/name_f]
