Do They Match? Would love suggestions! :)

My husband and I have one name on our list that is for sure… if we had a boy he would definitley be [name]Merrick[/name] [name]Liam[/name]. For a girl were not quite sure. We both love [name]Cora[/name], so we thought maybe [name]Cora[/name] [name]Lily[/name]. What do you think of [name]Merrick[/name] [name]Liam[/name] and [name]Cora[/name] [name]Lily[/name] as siblings? [name]Cora[/name] [name]Lily[/name] doesnt seen substantial enough to me. I like [name]Cora[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Cora[/name] [name]Thalia[/name], but my husband didnt like any of those. What do you think?

Also, what if [name]Merrick[/name] [name]Liam[/name] had a brother? Again… roadblocks! I sort of like [name]Konrad[/name] [name]Dominick[/name], nn [name]Ike[/name]. Not sold on it. We akso had [name]Onek[/name] on our list, but [name]Merrick[/name] and [name]Onek[/name] sounds silly to me.

So I guess I just need lots of opinions and suggestions! Thanks!

I love [name]Merrick[/name] and [name]Cora[/name] together! They both have the same feel. [name]Konrad[/name] [name]Dominick[/name] is nice! I think I like it better as [name]Konrad[/name] [name]Dominic[/name] though.

Sounds like you are looking for other ideas for middle names for [name]Cora[/name].
If it is the popularity/familiarity of [name]Lily[/name] that your husband likes:
[name]Cora[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] [name]Emily[/name]

Other ideas:
[name]Cora[/name] [name]Sophie[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] [name]Sylvie[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] [name]Lilac[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] [name]Tulip[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] [name]Saffron[/name]
[name]Cora[/name] Linnae

Well first off let me say that I think [name]Merrick[/name] [name]Liam[/name] is an amazing name! I might be a little bit biased though because I happen to have [name]Merrick[/name], [name]Liam[/name], [name]Cora[/name], and [name]Lily[/name] on my own baby name lists as well, haha. You seem to have the same preference for names that end with the c (or k) sound that I do. So I am not sure if this will bother you the same way that it bothers me but I will just go ahead and point out a few concerns that I personally have in regards to these names in case you haven’t noticed/thought of them yet.

First off, this is just my own personal preference, but I don’t like that the ending sound of [name]Merrick[/name] would kind of “run into” the beginning sound of [name]Cora[/name]… For instance, if you were calling both of them at once it would end up being a bit like “Merricora” instead of two seperate names. (Unfortunately [name]Konrad[/name] also has that problem and becomes “Merrickonrad”). If you are 100% set on using [name]Merrick[/name], then maybe finding new choices that begin with different letters might work better for any other siblings… Or perhaps switching the orders around and using something like [name]Donovan[/name] [name]Konrad[/name] or [name]Lily[/name] [name]Coralie[/name] would be better in that situation. Of course, using [name]Dominick[/name] or [name]Onek[/name] as the middle name could still work with a brother named [name]Merrick[/name].

The other thing that I would never be able to do is use names with the same endings. Which is sooo very sad because I love so many names that end identically to [name]Dominic[/name], but this is the reason I would never actually be able to use [name]Merrick[/name] (or [name]Alaric[/name] or [name]Frederick[/name], etc). Again, for you that would only be a problem with [name]Merrick[/name] and [name]Onek[/name] as siblings, but switching [name]Onek[/name] to the middle spot would solve it.

Hopefully that was a little bit helpful. I know it took me wayyy too long to realize that a lot of the names I had considered using in the future wouldn’t quite match up with my son’s name and it was definitely helpful for me to have another pair of eyes look over my choices. Good luck to you, and I look forward to hearing what names you decide on for your little ones, I am sure they will be great! =]
