[name]Just[/name] wondering if the boy names are a bit “soft” for grown men Daylee ([name]Lee[/name]) is my favorite and [name]Amelie[/name] ([name]Mia[/name]) for a girl. what do u think? or do u have any other names you think i might like?
Girls:
[name]Jasmine[/name] - very pretty, and [name]Jazz[/name] is a sassy but sweet nn for a little girl.
[name]Lacey[/name] - personally, I’m not fond of the ‘ace’ sound, but that’s just me. I know a lot of people like this name.
Tallullah - too flamboyant and cutesy for me.
[name]Amelie[/name] - pretty, although widely used now because of the film.
[name]Starla[/name] - I don’t like this - it’s too … cute, and it sounds made up. You might get a lot of people assuming you mean [name]Darla[/name], too.
Tarla - again, I am not fond of this one.
Boys:
Daylee - I’m not very fond of this one … how about other ways to get [name]Lee[/name], like [name]Leopold[/name] (lee-oh-pold)?
[name]Sonny[/name] - I would find this strange on a grown man; it strikes me as more of a pet name than a real name.
[name]Jacob[/name] - I love this name! It is a classic, and very handsome. The nn [name]Jake[/name] is cute on a little boy, too.
[name]Samuel[/name] - Another classic name which would age well, and offers a good nn ([name]Sam[/name]).
[name]Jasper[/name] ([name]Jazz[/name]) - Again, handsome and classic.
[name]Theo[/name] - I prefer this as a nn for [name]Theodore[/name], but it stands on its own reasonably well.
Daylee is my favorite because my Nans maiden name is [name]Day[/name], but have fallen in love with the name now im just worried it is not for a grown man (but [name]Lee[/name] as a nn i think he can get away with).
I love [name]Lola[/name] nd thank u for all ur suggestions i am still gratefull for all your ideas.
I actually think [name]Day[/name] would make a great middle name. [name]Jacob[/name] [name]Day[/name] or [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Day[/name] sound very handsome imo.
I’m sorry but I don’t care for Daylee. People may think of it as not only a girl’s name, but as something you made up as a [name]Kaylee[/name] variant. Have you thought about just [name]Day[/name]? Short, but I think it’s stronger than Daylee. Personally I think [name]Day[/name] or Daylee may be better in the mn spot, it could also work for a girl.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Amelie[/name] and [name]Tallulah[/name] for a girl. Like [name]Jasmine[/name] okay.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Jacob[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], [name]Jasper[/name], and [name]Theodore[/name] with [name]Theo[/name] as a nn. Like [name]Dante[/name].
[name]Sonny[/name] is too child-like for me. Daylee sounds like a meganame girls’ name, so I wouldn’t like it for either a boy or a girl or even a middle name. [name]Day[/name] is a pleasant middle name.
[name]Jacob[/name] and [name]Mia[/name] are very, very popular in the United States.
Girls:
[name]Jasmine[/name] – will always think of [name]Aladdin[/name]
[name]Lacey[/name] – not a huge fan
Tallullah – Cute, but nms
[name]Amelie[/name] – [name]LOVE[/name]
[name]Starla[/name] – Very pretty!
Tarla – sounds clunky and made-up to me.
Boys:
Daylee – will be mistaken for daily
[name]Dante[/name] – [name]LOVE[/name]
[name]Sonny[/name] – not a fan. [name]Sonny[/name] and [name]Cher[/name] is all I can think of.
[name]Jacob[/name] – beautiful but common
[name]Samuel[/name] – ditto
[name]Jasper[/name] ([name]Jazz[/name]) – I like it.
[name]Theo[/name] – [name]LOVE[/name]
My favorites are [name]Amelie[/name] ([name]Mia[/name] is a cute nn for [name]Amelie[/name]) and [name]Starla[/name], [name]Dante[/name] and [name]Theo[/name].
I think that Daylee and [name]Sonny[/name] are the only boy’s names that sound too soft to be boy’s names. I wouldn’t use them for girls either though. All your other choices are nice though! Good luck!
P.S. I agree that [name]Day[/name] works very nicely as a middle name for either a boy or a girl!
