We are expecting our final child, our 4th girl, in Dec. I have been pulling for the name [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], as my husband has been loving [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] since our first babe.
Oldest is [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f] which we easily agreed upon. The twins were named [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] &[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] for most of the pregnancy (I felt pretty strongly but my husband had his reservations) to only remain nameless once they were born for 3 days during which we decided upon [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] ([name_f]Indie[/name_f]) & [name_f]Odette[/name_f] ([name_f]Etta[/name_f]).
For this pregnancy, we decided that I felt more strongly about the girl name and he felt more strongly about the boy name. So, again, [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] it is if it’s a girl. (At that point we weren’t going to find out the sex, but we caved and now know she is a gir).
This is getting kinda long, sorry. Basically knowing it’s a girl, we keep going back and forth between [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] & [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] obviously goes best with her sisters’ full names but I feel like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] fits just fine when using their nicknames.
Congratulations on four lovely ladies with four lovely names! I agree that [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] sounds better with your other daughters’ names, so maybe [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]? If not, then [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is pretty too. Good luck
I so love [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. You do have a quandary so that’s not much help. In my defense, you must like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] to have nearly used it each time.
I agree with previous posters’ suggestion of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is a beautiful name that goes well with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] and [name_f]Odette[/name_f]. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] also has the nickname options that the others have ([name_f]Mia[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] etc).
I love [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]! [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] doesn’t flow as well with your other girl’s names [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. And you can use “[name_f]Millie[/name_f]” as a nn which I think is cute!
I prefer [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. It has so many more nickname options. For [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], all I can think of is Roo or Roobs. At a stretch, maybe [name_f]Bee[/name_f].
Thanks for the responses! I think we are just mourning all the wonderful names we won’t be able to use since this will be our last. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] to have confirmation on [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]!!
There’s nothing wrong with bringing two names to the delivery room! Both names are darling with the sibset, neither seem out of place at all. Although I agree [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] fits slightly better, if [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] has more significance to you you should go with that
I think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] sounds better with [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], [name_f]Odette[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], but I really love he combo [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. I think you should choose which ever name you like the most, I think that’s most important.
