Do you consider 'Elle" a middle name filler?

Hello everyone!

You were all so kind and supportive in my last post, I am still stumped on a MN for my daughter, [name_f]Portia[/name_f], and would like to reach out once again.

My husband and I had the first name [name_f]Elle[/name_f] in the running, but I wondered if as a MN, it could be viewed as a filler name such as [name_u]Lee[/name_u], or [name_u]Lynn[/name_u], which are absolutely beautiful, I had just wanted something different for my name choice.

Here are our ideas:
[name_f]Portia[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_f]Portia[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] or [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]
[name_f]Portia[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Portia[/name_f] [name_f]Mia[/name_f] (my name, but certainly feels ‘stilted’ as someone mentioned.
[name_f]Portia[/name_f] [name_f]Marina[/name_f] (mom’s name, lots of family will not like as there are multiple divorces and hatred amongst adults LOL)

If you feel none of these flow, could you please throw some ideas my way? Not sure if it helps to have my last name?

I don’t think [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is a filler necessarily, but I’m not a fan of [name_f]Portia[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Portia[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] the best, and you still get the same elle sound.

From your list I think [name_f]Portia[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] and [name_f]Portia[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] have the best flow. I don’t consider [name_f]Elle[/name_f] to be a filler name. I think it’s short and sweet like [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] or [name_f]Grace[/name_f] but has the uniqueness factor that sets is a part.

I have [name_f]Elle[/name_f] on my middle name list in honor of my grandmother [name_f]Muriel[/name_f]. So, I love it! :slight_smile:

[name_f]Elle[/name_f] is a nickname in most cases, never heard of it used as middle name.
