No - I think naming pets is the one time you can be obvious.
I don’t care if someone names their white and black cats Salt and [name]Pepper[/name], but were they to name twin daughters [name]Molly[/name] and [name]Milly[/name], then I’d cringe.
I say this though, as someone who has given her pets obvious names, my cats are Aslan and [name]Simba[/name], and my rabbits are [name]Bruno[/name] and [name]Sable[/name] (they’re both brown).
