Is there a family member, friend or acquaintance with a name that, if you looked at it on paper alone, would make you assume they were a couple of decades younger than they actually are?
Examples might be a middle-aged woman named [name]Emily[/name] who finds herself sharing a name with her daughter’s classmates, or a twentysomething with a name like [name]Lily[/name] or [name]Mason[/name].
When I was about thirteen I met an [name]Ava[/name] who was only a year or two younger than me, so she’d probably be 18/19 now, and I didn’t hear the name again until the explosion on little kids a few years ago.
My name is [name]Kaylee[/name]. Which if you look it up now, it is very popular. When my mother gave me my name 26 years ago it was a name she happened to see in a magazine, never heard of it before and thought it would be unique. [name]Little[/name] did she know I will now share a name with children my daughters age. I have mixed emotions about my name. I feel like it is defiantly ahead of my time. On the other hand, I never had any other [name]Kaylee[/name]'s to compete with when I was in school. So I guess it is unique for my age.
[name]One[/name] of my good friends is called McKenzi. She was the only person I’d ever heard of named this. Until my daughter went to school, her best friend is called [name]MaKenzie[/name] and my son has a [name]McKenzie[/name] and a Mcenzi in his class as well. Funy how they are all spelt differently as well.

Mother to my beautiful daughter [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Danielle[/name]
My best friend is a [name]Kaylee[/name] with a creative spelling, and we’re 25. Her parents were way ahead of the curve on that one.
I recently met a guy named [name]Oliver[/name], and he’s 23, I think. I know a few very young Olivers, but none who are my age, apart from that one.
My grandmother is named [name]Ericka[/name], she’s almost 86… I’ve always thought that was a weird name for someone so old, lol.
There was a girl on my street who was called [name]Ainsley[/name]. The name is heard a lot more but she would be in her late twenties/early thirties now so her parents were ahead of the trend.
A friend of mine has a daughter who’s probably about 14 now who’s an [name]Olive[/name]. Another friend has a daughter about the same age who’s [name]Adele[/name]. [name]Both[/name] of them just seem uncannily ahead of the trends.
I keep my middle name private, but, I’m 30, and my middle name is very popular now for babies and was rare (in the top 1000 but in the lower part of it) when I was born.
My cousin – who had a baby girl in 1989 – was quite ahead of the times in naming. She named her daughter [name]Sophie[/name], which ranked at #632 back then. Now, it is #51. (For a boy, she had planned to use the name [name]Henry[/name], which has also gained in popularity.) So, her daughter is now a beautiful 23-year-old [name]Sophie[/name].
