I like it, but [name_u]Briar[/name_u] is unisex so I would assume it was a boy. But if you really like it, go for it!
Lovely!! I definitely see Briar as a girls name, and I think it sounds very sweet with James.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the name [name_u]Briar[/name_u]!
I love it! I would assume it was a boy though if I just saw the name. But I do like it for a girl!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Briar[/name_u], [name_u]James[/name_u] is meh, but if it has significance to you, I’d say go for it. [name_u]Briar[/name_u] is a lovely first name
I’m not a big fan of it, not necessarily bc of it being to unisex, but it’s bc of the initials bj bc of what it stands for, I know some people won’t notice, let alone care, but others might comment on it. Though I like [name_u]Briar[/name_u], and I have the combo [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] on my own list
I agree that I would assume boy if I saw this. Not a bad name but I would like something more feminine with [name_u]Briar[/name_u]
I didn’t realize [name_u]Briar[/name_u] was unisex, [name_u]James[/name_u] is after my brother and my deceased father in law.
Someone give me some middle name suggestions, please!
It did give me pause for a moment, it’s cute! I immediately thought of it as a unisex name.
All I can think of is [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
How about
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] / [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Allegra[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Mazarine[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Zadie[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Phaedra[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Idonea[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Celine[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Everly[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Teagan[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Holland[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is just a little too unisex for me (tbh I would assume it was a boy) though there’s nothing wrong with that if you like it
If you love the name go for it!
Personally I’m not a fan firstly the name feels too masculine secondly the initials BJ are just not great and wouldn’t take a creative mastermind to tease someone about. In all honesty it was the first thing I saw.
You’ve asked for some middle name suggestions explained about the family connection and I was wondering if you’d consider having two middle names? I think having a girly name breaking [name_u]Briar[/name_u] & [name_u]James[/name_u] up would work perfectly
Here are some suggestions
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Clemency[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Constance[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Polly[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Florentine[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]
Good luck
It’s cute! I can see it on a little boy or girl. You could also use BJ as a nickname.
Other Middle Suggestions:
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Tatum[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Whitley[/name_u]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]Teagan[/name_u]
I love it a lot, and you definitely don’t need to change it simply because people have preconceived notions of what names are “for boys.” The way society thinks of gender and gender roles is changing a lot, which rolls over into names. If people assume little [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is a boy, it would just be a simple correction and it would be more embarrassing on their part than yours or hers.
Thank you so much!!
