It is so charming and despite having such a ‘pretty’ vowel sound and lovely meaning, the association with [name]Daniel[/name] [name]Boone[/name] also makes it feel very rugged and masculine. It is definitely on my long list for boys (along with a few other names that appear on LOST). You have to admit those are very well-named characters…
I wouldn’t say it is the exclusive reference I have, but I can definitely see how many people will associate it with [name]Ian[/name] Somerhalder’s character. Which to be quite honest is indeed a “blessing” of a mental image if you ask me, haha! =]
