Do you like the name Selena or Vanessa better?

I’m thinking of changing my name to either [name_f]Selena[/name_f] or [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] and I cant decide. [name_f]Selena[/name_f] would be pronounced “Suhl~[name_m]Leh[/name_m]~[name_m]Nuh[/name_m]”. Out of curiousity which do you like better and why/why not the other? I won’t be offended by any sort of response, I’m open to opinions.

I prefer [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] - I like the softer sounds and the nn Ness. [name_f]Selena[/name_f] is okay, it’s just not a fave

[name_f]Selena[/name_f] is by far my favorite. It’s so delicate and sweet!
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] was extremely popular on my country around the 80’s so it’s very dated for me (and unfortunately a lot of people chose bad combinations for [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]). However, I don’t think it is a bad name at all. I really like that it is related with butterflies and I know it’s seen as a upper-class name in the English-speaking countries. So that actually makes me think [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] is an interesting option.

[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] is the more obvious choice over [name_f]Selena[/name_f] in my opinion—it’s somewhat unique but still well-known as easy to spell and pronounce.

[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] is the winner of the two, in my opinion.

[name_f]Selena[/name_f] is beautiful!

[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] is my favorite of the two!

I think [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] is very beautiful and feminine. I do like [name_f]Selena[/name_f] too but I would automatically pronounce it the same as [name_f]Selina[/name_f].

[name_f]Selena[/name_f], definitely. It has sort of a soft luminosity to it, makes me think of cool evenings and silver reflections of moonlight. The spelling and the sound are very graceful.

I prefer the name [name_f]Selena[/name_f]. [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] is also nice but not as nice as [name_f]Selena[/name_f] in my opinion.
