Do you like these Irish-inspired names?

[name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] “[name_u]Laney[/name_u]”
[name_m]Lochlan[/name_m] [name_u]Ray[/name_u]

[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] is a common middle name in my family, and while I love [name_f]Elaina[/name_f], it’s multiple spellings make it really popular right now. I also have a strong Irish background and like that [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] gives her her own name while also letting me use the “[name_u]Laney[/name_u]/[name_f]Lainey[/name_f]” nickname. [name_m]Lochlan[/name_m] is similar to my husband’s name and other names we liked ([name_u]Logan[/name_u], [name_m]Liam[/name_m], etc.) without being too popular. [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_u]Ray[/name_u] are family names.

Thanks in advance!

I love them! Personally I prefer the “[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]” spelling, but it’s still a great name.

Thank you! The [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] spelling was considered, but we opted for [name_m]Lochlan[/name_m] because of origin differences. [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] is front Scottish roots, whereas [name_m]Lochlan[/name_m] is from the Gaelic [name_m]Lochlann[/name_m]/[name_m]Lochlainn[/name_m]!

[name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is so sweet! I’m a big fan of any [name_u]Laine[/name_u]/[name_u]Lane[/name_u] name since [name_m]Lane[/name_m] is part of my grandfather’s name. [name_m]Lochlan[/name_m] [name_u]Ray[/name_u] is handsome too, and I love the reasons behind the names

Thank you! I love them.

I really like these names together. They compliment one another, and I like that each name has a special meaning to you.

I also think Delaney is a perfect alternative to Elaine.

These are great choices! [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] and [name_m]Lochlan[/name_m] are a terrific sibset, and I love the use of family names as middles.
