[name]Love[/name] [name]Rory[/name], like [name]Emerson[/name].

[name]LOVE[/name] it! Super handsome!

I like it, but since there are now girls with both names, it sounds pretty unisex to me.

Yes! [name]Rory[/name] [name]Emerson[/name] is very handsome. I would not think the name belonged to a girl.

It is just a little too unisex for my taste. I have seen [name]Rory[/name] used more as a NN for [name]Aurora[/name] then I have as a boys name. I love [name]Emerson[/name] as well but I have seen it used for both genders too.

I was also going to say it seems a bit unisex for my taste but I do like both names and think they sound nice together. I just wouldn’t know directly if it was referring to a boy or a girl.

I’m also of the opinion that the name seems rather unisex. It would be very handsome on a little boy though. [name]Rory[/name] is a wonderful name. I like [name]Emerson[/name] as well.

[name]Rory[/name] is nms. Like [name]Emerson[/name] a lot - though I don’t love it.

I agree. To me, it sounds 100% masculine, since I love both [name]Rory[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name] on boys, but I would think a non-[name]Berry[/name] would see it more as a girls’ name. I do love it, though–I think [name]Rory[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name] are super handsome!

Very unisex for me. If anything, I would assume it was a girl. Not that it’s reason not to use it, but be careful. I knew a [name]Jesse[/name] [name]Mackenzie[/name] (he was given this mn well before [name]Mackenzie[/name] went to the girls) and had lots of trouble with it. Assigned to the girls’ cabin at summer camp, etc. On paper, people would look to his middle name to guess gender, and not get much help. I see this happening with [name]Rory[/name] [name]Emerson[/name].

In the US, [name]Emerson[/name] for both boys and girls is rising, but there were still 400 more female Emersons last year than male, and they’ve outnumbered the boys since 2002. My guess is the gap will only widen, and in another decade, [name]Emerson[/name] will be a decidedly feminine name. [name]Rory[/name] is a little trickier. It’s got close to the same numbers for both boys and girls, though [name]Rory[/name] is a popular nickname for [name]Aurora[/name], and that name is fast on the rise - already in the top 200 and climbing.

I like it a lot. I like both names individually and I think that they sound great in combination with each other. I don’t have any problem with unisex names on boys, and [name]Rory[/name] is gets more use on boys than on girls right now anyway. 411 male Rorys born in 2011 and 287 girls. I don’t see any reason to shy away from it.
