Do you like this nn for Elizabeth?

So [name]Elizabeth[/name] is due in two weeks, and as everybody knows she has tons of nick names to choose from. I would still love to use her full name a lot of the time, because I just adore it, but I have been trying to decide on a nn I really love to avoid one I dislike. I do not like [name]Liz[/name], [name]Lizzie[/name], or [name]Beth[/name]. I like [name]Eliza[/name], but I don’t really see people using it for a nickname for some reason. I don’t care for [name]Liza[/name] or [name]Ellie[/name] much either, though they are not terrible. But lately I [name]LOVE[/name] the nn [name]Elle[/name]. I think it is perfect. (My mom is pushing for [name]Betsy[/name] lol). I think [name]Betsy[/name] is very cute, it just has a totally different feel to me than [name]Elle[/name] does. It doesn’t seem like a stretch to me to get [name]Elle[/name] from [name]Elizabeth[/name], but at the same time I have never known anyone has done so. What do you berries think of the nn [name]Elle[/name] for [name]Elizabeth[/name]?

[name]Elle[/name] is really nice! Have you considered [name]Tibby[/name]? (My fave, even though its a bit of a stretch)

I like [name]Elle[/name] as a nn for [name]Elizabeth[/name]! Its cute and it works! Another option is [name]Libby[/name]. Good luck!

[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Elle[/name] as a nn. Although, [name]Betsy[/name] is adorable, too.

I love [name]Elle[/name] as a nn for [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Like you,I like the full name best, but I think you’re right to have a nn handy for it that you pick. I like [name]Betsy[/name] too, and am still trying to get past the [name]Betsy[/name] Wetsie doll association…I am not even from that generation but my mom always told me how she loved her BW doll. also I picture [name]Betsy[/name] as a 3 yr old child. I’m sure it can age well, it’s just a childlike nn to me. [name]Elle[/name] works so well on a child and an adult!

I love the nostalgia of [name]Betty[/name] as a nn for [name]Elizabeth[/name].

sure it works. my daughter is [name]Elisheva[/name] (the Hebrew name that [name]Elizabeth[/name] comes from), and a very common nn for [name]Elisheva[/name] is [name]Ellie[/name] (although we use something else). i don’t see why [name]Elle[/name] wouldn’t work for [name]Elizabeth[/name]. if you call her that, other people will too.

Yes, I do like it. [name]Elle[/name] is a lovely name, and I like it for [name]Elizabeth[/name]. It adds light imo.

I’d love it even more if it was [name]Elisabeth[/name] nn [name]Elle[/name], just some input.

[name]Elle[/name] is cute but a little bit of a stretch but in a good way totally unique! What about [name]Izzy[/name]? I know the most adorable 2 year old blonde hair blue eyed little [name]Elizabeth[/name] that goes by [name]Izzy[/name] which is so spunky for this adorable girl so she has the elegant full name and the fun nn, best of both worlds

[name]Elle[/name] is really sweet! I love it as a nn for [name]Elizabeth[/name] (also love [name]Ella[/name]…). I think [name]Izzy[/name] and [name]Libby[/name] are also cute nns for it.

Hello and congrats on your soon to be daughter!
I like [name]Elle[/name] as a nn.
We have an [name]Elizabeth[/name] and although she mostly goes by her full name, we do call her [name]Ella[/name] which seems to suit her.
We also sometimes call her [name]Zee[/name] or [name]Zizi[/name] and [name]Libby[/name]-[name]Lou[/name]!
Its an awesome name!

I think [name]Elle[/name] is perfect for [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I don’t think it’s far-fetched at all. It actually goes much better than [name]Betsy[/name] or [name]Betty[/name] or some of the more common [name]Elizabeth[/name] nicknames. I’m not a fan of [name]Liz[/name], [name]Liza[/name], [name]Betsy[/name], or [name]Beth[/name].

Of the nicknames you mentioned, the only ones I really like are [name]Elle[/name] and [name]Lizzie[/name] (I adore [name]Lizzie[/name] for a little girl – just has a little girl feel to it for me – but I understand why you don’t like it). [name]Ellie[/name] is okay to me, but I much prefer [name]Elle[/name]. I also like the nn [name]Ella[/name].

I love [name]Elle[/name] as the nn…People will start using the nn you use…We have an [name]Izabella[/name] and we call her [name]Iza[/name], here and there people call her [name]Izzy[/name], which I HATE, but we correct them and it’s fine.

I don’t mind [name]Elle[/name], but there’s so many Elles, Ellas and Ellies around here I wouldn’t use it. It feels like every third girl is either directly [name]Elle[/name]/[name]Ella[/name]/[name]Ellie[/name] or called one of those because she’s an [name]El[/name]- something else.

[name]Elizabeth[/name] I would be tempted to go with [name]Libby[/name], [name]Lilibet[/name], or [name]Betty[/name] - not [name]Betsy[/name] or [name]Bessie[/name] - or just [name]Elizabeth[/name].

I don’t think [name]Elle[/name] is bad though. I wouldn’t mind meeting another little [name]Elle[/name], and [name]Elle[/name] from [name]Elizabeth[/name] is reasonable enough. It just doesn’t do that much for me.
