And what do you think of the name in general?
i like both, but mae wins by a lot. mae is one of my absolute favorite names; it just feels so sweet and vintage and unique. the -e ending just adds a bit of flair and uniqueness. may is nice but a bit blah next to the spunkier mae.
I like [name_f]May[/name_f] and the connection to the month. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is pretty but feels insubstantial to me.
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] over [name_f]May[/name_f]. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] seems like a name for a person and gives me Old Hollywood vibes. [name_f]May[/name_f] is only a month in my mind and I can’t see it as a person.
[name_f]May[/name_f]. It looks more complete and more elegant
I prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (today at least ), but I love both–I just adore this name in general! It’s so simple yet full of sunshine and energy and warmth. [name_f]Spring[/name_f] in a name!
What I enjoy about [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is the sleek look and the quirky ‘ae’ sound. Still, I prefer [name_f]May[/name_f] by a slight margin because it looks fuller and feels softer to me and has the connection to the month. I do sometimes switch and prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f] though.
I love both, but I think I prefer mae!
Tough choice! I think I prefer [name_f]May[/name_f]!
I go back in forth, I used to like [name_f]May[/name_f] much better but now I’m slightly leaning towards [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. they’re both pretty!!
May! I adore this name!! I like the y spelling because I like the look of it and the fact that it’s spelt like the month. It’s my sister’s birthday month, which I love.
I prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f] due to some special connections in my personal life, but I absolutely adore [name_f]May[/name_f] as well!! Such a perfect name, either spelling!
I prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as a middle name or second part of a double barrel, [name_f]May[/name_f] as a first name.
I like it, it’s a bit shorter than I usually go for, but it has an undeniable charm. I like the month connection.
[name_f]May[/name_f]. I like both, but [name_f]May[/name_f] feels more versatile, as I could see it fitting on a larger selection of people than [name_f]Mae[/name_f].
(if that makes ANY sense )
Strongly prefer [name_f]May[/name_f].
I much prefer [name_f]May[/name_f]. I think it makes a great and under-used first name.
It can depend on the rest of the combo, but in general I enjoy the look of ‘ae’ so it has to be [name_f]Mae[/name_f] for me.
i love mae it feels like a fantasy name but is vintage and timeless at the same time - maybe even underused in the first name spot ? the ‘ae’ combination of letters isn’t normally seen in english so it adds to that magical feel to me
[name_f]May[/name_f]
I think [name_f]May[/name_f] but that could change daily
