I love [name]Ari[/name] too. I also like [name]Alaric[/name]. I think you can make it work, there are so many nicknames that aren’t the most intuitive and as long as you point out a nickname immediately when people try to call him that it will be fine though likely he will get some other nicknames in school. I am sure you don’t like Lar/[name]Larry[/name] but wanted to point out that might be another nn.
I think it definitely works! [name]Ari[/name] is right there, in the name, so I think it’s definitely doable. I agree, [name]Al[/name] and [name]Rick[/name] aren’t very appealing, but [name]Ari[/name] is nice.
Good luck!
I absolutely think it works. Nicknames aren’t always taken directly from the name, and [name]Ari[/name] is close enough to [name]Alaric[/name] as to be obvious-sounding. Of course, I think [name]Alaric[/name] is a great name…I don’t think any nn is necessary.
It’s great. It works.
I think [name]Ari[/name] sounds more like a girly nn to be honest, so I don’t think it fits a boy…
Not sure if it’s your style, but you could use the nn [name]Lars[/name] also.
[name]Alaric[/name] nn [name]Ari[/name] definitely works. I like it!
I think it works great and I love it!
I love it! I personally know an [name]Alaric[/name] who prefers to be called by his full name (even though I sometimes slip with [name]Ric[/name] for convenience) but [name]Ari[/name] is such a nice name on it’s own, I think this is a great idea!
[name]Ali[/name]- like ah-lee not al-e. could work too
