When you hear the name [name_u]River[/name_u] without seeing the person, do you automatically think it is a girl or a boy?

Actually, this is one of the few names I don’t assume gender, it is completely 100% unisex imo.

I lean towards boy, but I can easily imagine any gender!

I love [name_u]River[/name_u] for a boy, but [name_u]River[/name_u] is actually one of the few names that I truly consider unisex.

If you had asked me a few months ago, I probably would have said girl, but now maybe boy? I don’t know, I think I like it more for a girl, but I would assume boy? I agree with @EJpuddlejumper. It’s completely gender neutral for me at this point. Beautiful for both genders!

Honestly, I think [name_u]River[/name_u] is truly unisex. I’d probably prefer it on a boy myself, but I think it works well on a girl, too.

I think the same. I know of both girl and boy [name_u]Rivers[/name_u] and think it could work well for anyone.

boy-I know two little boys named [name_u]River[/name_u] and no girls, but I could see it going both ways.

I’d assume boy but I could see it on a girl too.

I immediately think girl because of [name_u]River[/name_u] Song from [name_u]Doctor[/name_u] Who, but I can just as easily see it on a boy. I’d say it’s completely unisex.

Initially think boy. But I think it does work for both genders.

Definitely boy. I’ve only ever known it on boys and it feels very masculine to me.

I only know boys with the name [name_u]River[/name_u], but it’s one of those names that I feel could truly be either or. It’s definitely an even split for me.

I wouldn’t expect a boy or a girl if I saw it. I think it’s one that’s truly neutral. I think I prefer it on a girl though.

I associate it more towards boy bc I know a [name_u]River[/name_u] (b) but to me it’s completely unisex and I really like it on a girl too

Maybe boy? But only because you asked me to make a decision. I feel it’s a genuine unisex name this one.
