The Vampire Diaries began airing in the US in 2009. [name]Do[/name] you think, like Twilight, the names of the characters (below) will soon start to appear more frequently on birth certificates?

I know some of the above names are already popular, but what about the others?

A lot of those names are already popular or at least were on the rise before The Vampire Diaries. I personally don’t know anyone who watches that show, and I know a million people who love Twilight. I don’t this show will have much influence at all.

Haha, I watch it online if I’m bored.

The names I think will rise are [name]Elena[/name], [name]Annabelle[/name], and [name]Damon[/name]. Those names both fit trends, so if an expecting parent hears it on the show it is likely that they will consider it.

People seem to consider [name]Pearl[/name] a middle name.

The rest of the names are dated ([name]Jenna[/name]) or classic ([name]Caroline[/name], [name]Katherine[/name]) and not likely to be affected.
