I’ve actually never read/seen Twilight so I am only familiar with the uber-popular names like [name_f]Bella[/name_f]. I do think of the [name_m]Loch[/name_m] Ness Monster, though. Sorry. [name_f]Nessie[/name_f] would be a cute nn for [name_f]Agnes[/name_f]. [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] have a similar sound and are nice alternatives imo.
Yes, you do think of the [name_m]Loch[/name_m] Ness monster, but I don’t think this makes it unusable. It’s a cute name

@ciottolo : Thanks [name_f]Esmerelda[/name_f] is a gorgeous name but not really my style . Althought I love the similar [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] which i dont think it can take the nn [name_f]Nessie[/name_f] 
I’ve never seen/read Twilight so had no idea it was connected to Twilight. But I immediately think of [name_m]Loch[/name_m] Ness Monster as she is affectionately called [name_f]Nessie[/name_f]! I adore this name though so I understand your love for it. I agree it’s a great nicknme for [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] but that’s not exactly my fav name…sounds so harsh for a little girl. I love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] to have the same sound and [name_f]Tessie[/name_f] for nickname
When I hear the nickname [name_f]Nessie[/name_f] I think it’s a nn for [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]

I actually don’t at all. It reminds me of [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. I like the idea of using a nickname as a given name.

Thanks @Lovelygenevieve I will propably pick [name_f]Nessie[/name_f] as a stand alone. I just can’t find a name thar I love with this nn. [name_f]Nessa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nessie[/name_f] is really cute but I prefer [name_f]Nessie[/name_f] over [name_f]Nessa[/name_f] ( if that makes any sense 
) . You haven’t heard of [name_m]Loch[/name_m] Ness Monster? This is understanding because I don’t think it’s very popular. Its just an old myth.

That makes a lot of sense. I feel the same way about other names. [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] not crazy about [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] because of popularity.
Oh, the old folk tale! I don’t think of that when I hear [name_f]Nessie[/name_f]. Super cute name - [name_f]Nessie[/name_f]

But I do heavily associate it with Lochness so I would keep it as a nn
Nelsia is also a really rare name that apparently is a name of some plants.
A mutual friend has this name and I am constantly exposed to this name on social media, so this was actually the first thing I thought of
