I’v always liked the name Shaldon or [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] as me and my boyfriends first holiday together was to a place called Shaldon in [name_u]Devon[/name_u], UK (As we live in the UK).
Does Shaldon/[name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] sound ok with siblings [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] & [name_f]Amy[/name_f]-[name_f]Louise[/name_f]?
Which one do you like better Shaldon or [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] ?
If you like them what middle name would you put with it ? - no S or K name.
I have never seen Shaldon on a person before, but I don’t mind [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u].
I think the suond works with [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] & [name_f]Amy[/name_f]-[name_f]Louise[/name_f].
But be aware that there is a TV programme called the Big Bang [name_m]Theory[/name_m] (that is terrible but extremely popular in [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]America[/name_u]) starring a couple named [name_f]Amy[/name_f] & [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u].
I don’t care about the big bang theory thing. I live in the UK so the TV program is less popular over here but still known. -[name_f]Amy[/name_f] & [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] being a couple on a TV program has nothing to do with my 2 children as [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] is after a Place and [name_f]Amy[/name_f] is after my Great Grandmother
I love [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] more than [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u], definitely more than Shaldon, and a great middle name might be [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] or [name_u]Dean[/name_u].
I’m not really a fan of either spelling but I would go with the [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] spelling because it is a recognised name which would work better with your other children’s names, Shaldon might be a bit too unusual paired with the other two more popular names. I definitely wouldn’t worry about the Big Bang [name_m]Theory[/name_m], I didn’t make that connection. I would probably pair it with a more popular middle name so it ties in a bit better with the sibling names:
Thank You. I love [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] & [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] (My boyfriend doesn’t like this one someone else suggested it).
I think [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] is an awesome name! It sounds quirky and funky to me. I love the personal meaning for you. I’d go for it. I think it goes well with [name_f]Amy[/name_f] & [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. Shaldon sounds a bit awkward to me.
[name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] sounds great with [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_f]Amy[/name_f]-[name_f]Louise[/name_f]! My two nephews are actually [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] (although they go by [name_m]Donnie[/name_m] and [name_m]Tom[/name_m])!
I personally prefer [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] to Shaldon because it just feels better as a name to me (and Shaldon reminds me too much of the place).
[name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] would sound good with a one syllable middle name to, perhaps one like [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Carl[/name_m], [name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_u]Roy[/name_u], [name_u]Finn[/name_u] or [name_m]Joel[/name_m]?
[name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] does sound better than Shaldon to me, but it also reminds me of the TBBT character. The problem is that, even when you don’t relate them, many people will. Think about its rating as the most watched in [name_u]America[/name_u], and the amount of people that will do the connection. And if his siter is [name_f]Amy[/name_f]- well, I just wouldn’t do it, and it doesn’t matter if you think your reasons for the names are completely different, you won’t be going around explaining that your kids aren’t named [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] and [name_f]Amy[/name_f] after the characters.
