Does Abel fit?

[name]Hi[/name] I’ve been here before re: naming #3, it’s sooo hard. We have a girls name, but no boys names jump out at us.

[name]Baby[/name] has a big brother [name]Mason[/name] and a big sister [name]Harper[/name]. [name]Both[/name] names aren’t as trendy/ ‘in’ /popular here as they are in the US, anyway, does [name]Abel[/name] fit in? We’ve been thinking about it a lot and i’m slowly warming to it. I Also like [name]Abram[/name]/[name]Bram[/name], but I’d want [name]Abel[/name] to be called by his full name not ‘[name]Abe[/name]’, although I am a fan of [name]Abe[/name], I’d just call him [name]Abe[/name] instead of [name]Abel[/name] if I wanted that.

[name]Mason[/name], [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Abel[/name]?

For our town, our names are quite ‘out there’, if you have any suggestions feel free to help us find a name that fits.
I still adore [name]Silas[/name], but months of trying to get hubby on board has failed :frowning:

I like [name]Abel[/name] fine, but I don’t think it goes very well with [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Harper[/name]. [name]Abel[/name] has a different sound, different feel, and is obviously biblical where the other 2 aren’t. On the other hand, I love [name]Abram[/name]/[name]Bram[/name] and feel it goes Very well with [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Harper[/name].

[name]Both[/name] [name]Abel[/name] and [name]Abram[/name] are Biblical names whereas [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Harper[/name] are occupational names. For me, neither “fits” but I don’t think that should be a deal-breaker if you love a name. I would probably choose [name]Abel[/name] for your family because [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Abram[/name] sound similar.

I think [name]Bram[/name] goes better with [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Harper[/name]. It’s more modern and distinguished-sounding, like the other two names.

This is despite the fact, I actually like [name]Abel[/name]. I just think it’s a different style.

I really like [name]Abel[/name], and I actually think that it fits well with [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Harper[/name].

I really like both [name]Abel[/name] and [name]Abram[/name]/bram. I think don’t think [name]Abel[/name] is to out of synch with your other children’s names, they don’t sound bad together. [name]Abram[/name] Doesn’t flow as well with [name]Mason[/name] and [name]Harper[/name].

Thank you for the opinions, while I like it, I still feel like it’s just not right…gah…too difficult! My husband is fighting for [name]Arlo[/name], but I’m not quite on board with it.

[name]Bram[/name] gets my vote. I like it better than [name]Abel[/name] and feel it goes better with your sibset.

I like [name]Abel[/name] with [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Mason[/name]. It doesn’t really go but they’re kind of awesome together and I like the idea of using something stunningly different with those two names.
