Does Adam work with unusual names?

I do love the name [name_m]Adam[/name_m] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] (or [name_m]Adam[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], or [name_m]Adam[/name_m] [name_m]Caradoc[/name_m]), and I would love to use it. I love how [name_u]Darcy[/name_u], [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and [name_m]Adam[/name_m] sound together as well, but my girls names, not so much. I think the only popular/normal girl’s name I like (normal by UK standards anyways) is [name_f]Freya[/name_f]. While I do love [name_f]Freya[/name_f]/Freyja (still a bit torn here), it’s not my favourite. My favourites are the old-fashioned names; [name_f]Maude[/name_f], [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], [name_f]Minerva[/name_f], [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], etc.

Would the name [name_m]Adam[/name_m] work with any of these?

[name_f]Maude[/name_f] [name_f]Aveline[/name_f]
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Mireille[/name_f] (meer-ay)
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Amandine[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet/name_f
[name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] [name_f]Frostine[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Aveline[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any old-fashioned girl name ideas that go with [name_m]Adam[/name_m]?

Hmm. I don’t really think it matters as much that [name_m]Adam[/name_m] doesn’t go the best with your girls’ names as long as it sounds okay with the other boys. If it were something made-up and modern like [name_u]Jayden[/name_u] or something I would say no, but [name_m]Adam[/name_m]'s basically a classic (perhaps not a true classic like [name_m]John[/name_m] or [name_u]James[/name_u], but still) and has been used since, well, [name_m]Adam[/name_m]. I do agree though that it does feel modern. I think perhaps it would go best with some of your shorter names like [name_f]Maude[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] or the more consonant-filled ones like [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] rather than the longer, frillier, more elegant ones like [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] and [name_f]Octavia[/name_f].
